Right there in the post: otalgia. You could also use otodynia.

Definitely beautyful.

The infant sleeps through the night now. All 3 kids were in daycare so I’m not sure what has been going on but I plan to fix it all when I get there.

I seriously fear for the future of medical care in America. More than I already did.
It doesn’t sound like a hard assignment.

The families get more interesting each time I get a new one. Years ago they had a silly show on called Beverly Hills Nannies. They were like accessories for the parents.

Ugh, still no patients in the ICU! This has to be some kind of record.

Anyone have any good Netflix recommendations?

Auntie stopdog will let them run around with dangerous tools pointed in the wrong directions and teach them how to smoke meat.

Popping in, just got back from another family camping trip. It rained.

Things are moving both VERY FAST and agonizingly slow. I am switching grad school programs. I have two weeks to figure out how I am going to pay for it until I can pay for it. On the docket this week: Grad program interview by phone, therapy, my kid's play rehearsals start, mediation round 2, custody mediation, and a meeting with the kids' dad and his therapist.

I don't need pocket riders, exactly, just maybe a couple Couchies could pretend to be me for one or more of these things while I go back to the campground and sit by the creek?

Hi couchies! Been working on this project off and on all day and finally finished the first one. Turning the slipper into a boot was more complicated than I expected but I figured it out!

Hee hee, yeah! I'm pretty tickled with how well it turned out. Hoping the 2nd one looks as good. Crocheting keeps my mind occupied and calm.

oh and I'm already signed up for another drumming circle next saturday yay.

and I'm taking a 6 week online writing course that starts Wednesday, and my geology class starts a week from this Thursday. I have decided that I need to stay busy. Otherwise my stupid brain makes up drama where there most likely isn't any and stuff.

Isn't that a good thing? Not for your residency/whichever part of your medical training you're doing, but in general? I hope you found something good to pass the time with though.

Well, it just means that all of the critically ill patients in the city are getting taken care of at other hospitals. I certainly don’t wish for anyone to be sick, I just wish I had the privilege of taking care of somebody anybody in order to learn and be useful.

It must be such a weird thing because you need really sick people in order to learn what you need to learn in order to take care of other sick people, but at the same time really sick people is a bad thing. I wasn't judging you at all.

Chihiro—my mother would tell you there are all too few peaceful moments like that in a doctor’s career, so treasure them whenever they come.

And always have a good book or a knitting project on hand for them.
