My therapist didn't leave me when I told him about my transference. He actually was excited bc he's a nerd

When I told my t she said something about "It's not a destination, but it's definitely on the map" or something like that.

She's weird.

At that point every time the was a car accident in her town which is about 60 miles from my home I panicked until I talked to her again.
Last week she had a skiing accident. She told me about it because she was fidgety during our session. Because of doing video therapy I could not see her leg propped up on her desk. She only told me about the accident so I would know why she was fidgeting. She sprained her ankle and knee but didn't give further details. So it definitely brought out those worries.

It is unethical for a therapist to stop seeing a client because of transference...........A well-trained therapist accepts and discusses ALL feelings.

I finally told mine. Thanks to this thread I figured out what transference was. She didn’t freak out and she was professional. but we decided to terminate not really because of the transference but more to make my move easier for me. Video sessions and never getting to see her in person again got to me a lot.
