By the way, you ought to be able to choose your own title now.

ETA: Couch long-timers may remember JustShakey? I heard from her, she’s doing well and asked me to say hi.
I think about her often, boxed wine and neighbors who were all about that bass. Tell her to come play.

I have just discovered the definition of binge watching from a survey and I don't binge watch anything. I thought I was but apparently not. It is the watching of one programme for an average of 5 hours in one sitting.
Thanks for this!

My D accidentally bought ketchup instead of tomato sauce once and it tastes very vinegar-y. I did not like it.
Thanks for this!

How do you accidentally buy ketchup instead of tomato sauce? I don't get it.

I don't think cool whip has even a little cream in it. It's sort of like margarine instead of butter. Well, maybe not as disgusting as I find margarine. But the same idea - basically just oil made up to be like something else.

Tomato sauce and tomato ketchup are very similar - they are made in much the same way with ketchup having more vinegar and usually more sugar than goes into sauce -but they look alike and depending on the store - can be next to each other

I guess I just think of tomato sauce as coming most often in a metal can or sometimes in a glass jar. Ketchup comes in plastic squeeze bottles. So it doesn't really look the same at all. And they aren't in the same sections of the store, at least not here. Ketchup is with condiments.

I am familiar with the ingredients of ketchup, and I'm willing to believe that homemade ketchup might look like tomato sauce. I was just perplexed about how they would get confused when purchasing such items at the store.

Also, we have chopped tinned tomatoes, but also just plain tomato sauce. I think it's just pureed tomatoes or maybe tomato paste with water.

It's a bit thinner than ketchup without the tang.

You can find catsup in glass jars and depending on where you shop - they can be next to each other. They are in stores where I shop and when I have been out of the united states
I suggest buying all tomato products in glass jars rather than tin cans or plastic.

They don't have them in glass anywhere I shop. Haven't even seen the glass ones in restaurants in years - that's the only place I've ever seen them. I actually wonder if they changed some food service code in my state that prevented restaurants from refilling the glass ones.

Ketchup is always with condiments, no? I've always seen tomato sauce either beside the pasta or in the canned vegetables aisle.

I got my new sofa and it looks so wrong. It is so much bigger than the old one and makes my coffee table look really small. I suppose I will get used to it. It is so deep too I will need to get cushions so I don't look like child sitting on it.

Possible trigger:

I’m trying not to feel responsible or guilty (though my attending told me there was nothing I could have done).

This job can be so effing hard sometimes.

Hugs, I'm sorry...please listen to your attending. But I know I'd feel guilty about something like that, too, even if I knew there was nothing I could have done.

Can you return it? A couch is a big investment if you realize that you picked wrongly. (Spoken as someone who has made a few poor furniture choices in my past. LOL!)

Hi Lost on the Trail, LT, CE and CC

The couch was quiet. Just wanted to wake it up.

CC- sorry about the patient. That must be very hard.

My sister was a radiotherapist, and she specifically chose to work with children because she had gone through radiotherapy as a child. Losing a patient was always painful, and she never failed to be moved by that loss, even after 30 years of the work. It is hard. But thank you for your work. Thank you for your ability to keeping doing that work even knowing that the work can end in loss.
Thanks for this!
