I'm starting to get a little nervous about going to this shamanic workshop tomorrow... nervous that it might be a little out of my league or something, but I'm excited about it too...

Just finished my discussion post that's due Sunday. I have one essay question left to write for Exam 3, and then I have to respond to 3 of my classmate's discussion posts. I have until Wednesday night now to finish the rest, but the workshop is all day tomorrow and all day Sunday so I won't have too much time for homework over the weekend. I've been doing laundry all day using my breaks & lunch so at least most of that will be done before I go to bed tonight... h is going to be on his own as far as meals go this weekend haha we'll see how that goes...

There is more money in my joint checking account with H than there should be. I only deposit what’s needed for bills in that account yet there is like 800 more than there should be. I must have missed a bill somewhere but I can’t find it. Everything is paid for November.
Mortgage
Car
Car insurance
Cable
Utilities
Cell phones.
Medical insurance

They are all paid. Where did the 800 come from.

Thanks for the couch poll replies!

I think I'd feel guilty about asking for a discount. I asked once and she said "if it was my clinic, I would, but it isn't " so that was a no. But then the acquaintance who also saw her when she was in in the public system said she was offered a more than 50% discounted rate... As the full price of a session would be 20% of her take home pay... Currently I'm not earning income and living off savings which T knows, and I still pay for my sibling's therapy which T knows too. Hence another friend said I should try asking again...

I'm struggling tonight. I'm struggling with being a childless aunt I wanted a child so badly, but somehow I have to come to terms with it never happening. For as long as I live, I'm going to try to be the best aunt I can be.

Thank you! Yes it was nice. My former T who I saw years ago actually text me on Christmas day one year - it was just amazing and meant so much! It's the only time a T has ever done that.

Scarlet...I know it doesn’t even come close to comparing the strong desire you have of wanting your own, but did you ever consider picking up a babysitting gig? It may help fill the void and give you some temporary relief. I know for me, nannying has pretty much taken care of filling the void of not having kids, but my desire to have them is not nearly as strong as yours so that’s why it may have worked for me. Honestly after years of nannying I didn’t want kids anymore. You don’t even have to do it full time like I do. But maybe some part time babysitting might just give you a little bit of what you need to fill the hole-especially if you don’t have regular contact with your nieces.

Your in CA, right? As far as I know babysitters and nannies are like accessories in CA and also in NY.

Just woke up to a loud racket, some animals running under my house and water pipes banging. Then I hear my neighbor outside yelling "I'm sorry my dog is under your house, I'm going to get him!" Then her voice starts coming from the crawl space cajoling him to come out and then angrily insisting.

His name is Trouble!!!

Happy to report Trouble and his owner are gone home now. But I'm awake at 7:30 on freaking Saturday grrrrrrrr.

Unacceptable. Tell Trouble to be a good dog and crawl under his own house on Saturday mornings or he has to wait until noon.

Picking my baby niece up in 30 minutes for her day of fun.

I’m just trying to figure out if Aunt Jersey consumed enough coffee for this day. There is time for one more cup..

I have a friend from med school visiting. It’s nice to have someone to do stuff with—we went to a concert last night and are going in a hike later today after we go out for breakfast. He’s six hours away by car though so he can’t come hang out that often.

Morning couchies! I'm up getting ready to head to the shamanic workshop, it's 9-5 both today and tomorrow. Nervous but excited at the same time! Last night I had a funny dream starring our very own Lemoncake:
In the dream we're at my friend K's house where for some reason she has a sterile chocolate-making room (? of course she doesn't in real life haha) anyway she's in this sterile room sitting on a red couch using this long pole with a cup thing at the bottom scooping up chunks of chocolate and marshmallows and dropping them into a hole in the bottom of the far wall, where they combine into powder for making hot chocolate. Outside of the sterile room, Lemoncake is making hot chocolate, and she is shaking out one of the baggies of hot chocolate mix because it's almost empty and I am acting silly and lay on the floor underneath the baggie and open my mouth really wide and say "Give me all the chocolate!" waving my arms around. Then my alarm goes off (in real life, but I incorporated it into the dream for a minute) and I said oh I'll get it! and I jumped up off the floor and tried to get to the alarm clock, which was on a table next to the other sofa, but there was packing tape across the sofa and table connecting them and blocking me from getting to the alarm clock. So that was when I woke up to go turn off the stupid thing for real haha!

happy saturday, hugs and headnods all around, will check in after the workshop.

I am going to an actual movie theater today. I have not been a few years - the last time I was in one was to take my person to a not harry potter rowling movie.
I get bored an restless at movies or fall asleep. Today it has a great potential for being an expensive nap.

Artie you actually have no idea how weird this is, but I was on another forum today and they asked how to make hot chocolate without lumps. I decided I'd want to give it a go and use real chocolate instead of powder.

I've emailed you proof that I was looking at this today- before I read PC.

Hope you all - Jersey, chihirochild, Artie, and SD - have a good time with your respective activities today. As for me, I have a ton of cleaning and organizing to do today. Not my cup of tea.
