Why do some banks show the weather on their TVs?

Never once have I thought to myself
“Well look at that it’s 70 degrees. Perfect temperature to take out a loan today!”

I cancelled my last appointment with T, now havent seen her since the 10th of October. I miss her, we don't have any appointments booked coming up either. I just don't want to see her and I dont know why.

This used to happen with me with the therapist. We explored it a little bit back then but never really figured out why. For me-it wasn’t anything obvious like putting of a big disclosure or avoiding a hard topic. Every now and again I would just lose interest in going for a few weeks. Usually I was depressed though.

That's interesting. I dont feel depression here but I just suffered a health set back and have really low energy so there could be depressive elements I havent noticed yet.

I have still been to EMDR but we dont discuss current things as we are dealing with the past and my phobia

Maybe I'm avoiding facing anything

The weather channel sounds like a good choice to have nobody be offended and still have some kind of background thing running for people to watch.
That being said... our banks don't have TV screens and I'm glad they don't.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but he was just wearing a dark blue shirt. He was wearing his Super Mario socks though. And his glasses (usually wears contacts). I asked where his costume was, and he said he's dressed up as a competent therapist today, so let's see if I can tell the difference.

Also, regarding the weather, it's finally been getting to Fall a few days ago. Before that we had temperatures like in Summer. Now it's foggy and cold.

I went to a tattoo shop yesterday to discuss the one I'm getting. Have to wait for three weeks, then a six hour session, then another wait and another six hours. I'm excited !

Husband took my car to work (because he idiotically bought a muscle car last winter that cannot be driven in snow) - so I'm stuck at home. I went through and organized my closet - it looks so nice. I'm also doing laundry. The weather is miserable here today.

When I had jury duty last week I complained to my Dad that they had HGTV on in the jury commission room. He replied "well they aren't going to play Law & Order re-runs on the TV

I've not been great at being around lately. Too much in my head, and things are twisting and turning again. Just when you think you know what you're dealing with...

Good point! Though they were playing "House" (medical drama for those not familiar) on the TV in the waiting room of the Labor & Delivery unit where I had my daughter while I was waiting for my C-section (they kept pushing it back due to emergencies).

I actually had a good appointment with Regular T last night. She told me I have options with what Pastor T wants me to do (have an accountability partner for SH) She said I can say I am thinking about it. I can say I will try it for a certain amount of time. I can tell him to drop dead. Etc. Just because that is what he is suggesting for me, it is still my choice whether or not I want to do it. So she was really reinforcing that I have choices. We talked a little bit about codependency and how I had to adapt to my Mom's emotions all the time as a child and that is my pattern now. We also talked about work some. I've been in the middle between some of the bosses. And in the middle between the old company and the new company on some issues. And it's a very tense, uncomfortable place to be. T was pretty helpful. I was actually pleasantly surprised how well it went! HUGS to anyone who wants one! Kit

Time to close my door and hide from potential candy beggars. There is a lull in the rain..so people may start walking around soon. Back in my day we trick or treated after dark. Now they do it like 3 in the afternoon.

My two new best friends and the people I spend the most time with have a dating but not dating scenario, and I often feel like a third wheel between the two of them especially when they're kissing and all over each other.

This week they had a fight. She didn't tell me about it, but just said that she was going to spend less time with him and not give him so much attention. I said "good, if you had space you could get over him and fall in love with somebody new" and I told her before that we accept the love we think we deserve.

Two days ago he knocked on my door and asked me to tell him if we had plans to meet up anywhere- so he could tag along and "accidentally" meet her- which I did. So at the coffee shop today whilst me and her were working on our presentation for tomorrow- in between joking it got serious he said he was angry at me because I had said that to her that it was about her finding someone better than him, that it hurt him. That she had said to him that he didn't treat her well and that she had accepted it.That I was coming between them and that I was an enemy dressed as a friend. That I did it so that I could spend more time with her. (I'm not in love with her).

We were pally when we left at maybe 7.50pm. They invited me to come to a bar with them for drinks which I declined so they could be alone.

(This is the guy who was nicknamed creepy by R because he would make sexual jokes with me but it's always been him who checks up on me, and brought me food when I was ill. )

I don't know how to handle this- other than to just take a step back from the both of them- a bit hard as she's in my group.

I think I would prefer kids in the afternoon rather than at night. We didn't have much kids actually doing in where I lived and my mother never let us go trick or treating.

Lemon did you try to explain to your friend that your comment was speaking in the general about people accepting the love they think they deserve?

I think maybe a step back would be best so that you don’t get caught up in their drama. Like it’s okay to still hang with them..just less. Or hang out with them each separately?

I think I did.

Everything I tell her- gets passed back to him and vice versa.

So far we do actually do everything together apart from when I'm in classes with her. If their going out to dinner/lunch they invite me too. We have our own study group for the weekends. I guess I could go to a different coffee store so I wouldn't run into them.

We actually also have plans to go travel to over the weekend after our psych exam. Which I might turn down.

The last time I dressed up was maybe in second year. I went as a bee- real amazon costume with wings and a headband!

My teens still dress up and t-or-t our neighborhood. I do insist that they wear something that looks like a costume in some way. Some of the neighbors have told them i recent years that they are glad to see teens who aren't "too old" for t-or-t and they enjoy their costumes.
