I just had the weirdest memeory come back i walked into my Ts waiting room and another woman was sitting there and we sat there for about 10 minutes before her T came out to get her then asks if she can use the toilet. Why did she wait? Why did she ask? It wasnt as if the toilet was hard to find.

Now I just have to not get coronavirus.

I’m almost sure my school will make all classes remote after spring break, now that they won’t be the first university in the country to do so.

All this coronavirus stuff has got me down, people are hoarding hand santizer and face masks but as the owner of a chronic illness and non existant immune system it means I can't get anything I need. Thank god for my mini stock pile.

I think Italy has figured out how to deal with the virus. Give people running red wine instead of water.

My country's close to Italy. There's still trains going to and from the infected areas, even though those are locked down.
I just quit my job this week without notice since they didn't want to offer work from home, or give me time off. My partner and I think it's best to stay at home for the next few weeks and see how it develops, so we decided to just quit (we thankfully are well-off financially and it doesn't hurt us that way). It still sucks though, the government still seems to try to just not make people panic and have the economy running. Masks start to run short for medical workers, France and Germany have blocked the transport of medical equipment to other countries. Kind of worried how it will develop here. At least I have more time to spend on the forum again, yay!

Probably won't see T for a while though. He was nice enough to let me take a couple of pictures of him, those really help. And we will still have phone calls no matter what.

Hugs, Jane. I work for a pharmacy/PBM and we now have members writing in that their doctor has told them to stockpile medications and asking for 6 month to one year supplies to be sent to them. We can't do it of course, their insurance won't cover it. I wonder if the insurance plans are going to start allowing it, and once that happens if it does, I wonder how quickly the manufacturers will be out of stock. Scary thought. I hope you're able to get what you need!

Just got an email from my department chair basically asking us to inform on anyone who's been to a hot spot like China, Italy, Iran and isn't doing their self-quarantine (I think it's the university requiring that on the CDC's recommendation).

It does seriously concern me, particularly how the number of US cases doubled within 24 hours from Friday to Saturday (from about 200 to about 400), and the death rate for those over 60 or with compromised immune systems is 10%. But my automatic reaction to informing on someone I work with is "no way."

Ugh I don’t feel good—fever, chills, sore throat, etc. I’m pretty sure it’s just strep because that’s what’s going around the residency program and as far as I know I haven’t been exposed to COVID at work yet. Still, I probably can’t go in to work or to therapy until I’m better. And I’m in the kind of bad place where distraction is what I need.

Eff.

My university sent out a request for people to not go to those countries and to self isolate a couple of weeks ago. We haven't yet been asked to become snitches. Two of my conferences have just been cancelled.

I can "Hear the 'Bern'!" from my apartment. Somewhat muffledy-muppety, but it is what it is.

I came home from a relaxing weekend at the coast with my mom and sister--two whole nights of sleep in a row!--to a cat poop-streaked floor.

My boys are troopers. It was mostly in their room (where the kitten litter box is for now), so they cleaned all of the floors, scooped the litter boxes, checked all the cats and discovered it was crotchety old cat, and gave him a bath. Which he hated, poor thing.

Trying to air things out now. It doesn't smell so nice in here even with beeswax candles and the door open.

YouTube to the rescue. Eldest son just figured out how to tighten the kitchen faucet. I got him a tool set for his last birthday, so he's excited to get it out and fix stuff around the house.

And while everyone was cleaning and fixing things, I cleaned out the freezers. Life is pretty darn good around here.

My oldest 2 just got into a fight with each other that left them both with scratches all over their faces and necks.
Possible trigger:
. I'm over it. I don't know if it's normal sibling stuff or more. Will be discussing it tomorrow with our in home therapist.
Good news is I'm getting a tattoo tomorrow that I've been wanting for over a year now. Finally made an appointment after everything that happened since Christmas and January. I'm glad to be getting away and by myself for a few hours.

Doughnuts for everybody! It's Publication Day over in my corner of the world.

One of my favourite poems has been selected by an online journal.
