I like that his total name has long o followed by short o. Then in each half of his name, the two consonant letters are consecutive but skip the middle letter. L (m) n. D (f) g. So its quite a magical name, inadvertent as it was.

I could call him lone dog and preserve the onomastics.

Thanks NP. I guess I just don't know how else to feel. I'm having a litlte discussion with "peter" (who represents my animus) in my head just now and he said do you have the virus, know you have the virus, and did you go in there with the intention to get her sick again?

to which i replied no, i am not sick, and oh my god NO I would never do that.

and he told me then knock it off.

we're still arguing about it.

Well, I'm just glad Loan/Lone dog found a new home that he seems comfortable in. I'm sure his previous person felt relief that his companion had someone to take care of him.

Altho it sounds a little sad.

"I'm a lone, lorn soul."

Lorn dog would sound like a fashion accessory from a famous American clothing designer.

I've recently come to realize that the James Brown song "It's a man's world" is really sexist or maybe I'm just listening to it wrong. Women have contributed to this world as well, whether they were credited or not, and we're not just here to be sexual/emotional objects for a man's pleasure.

But he says, "but it wouldnt mean nothin nothin NUTHIN without a woman (or a girl...)." Ive always thought that song showed his deep respect and appreciation for women. I mean, i never got a mean vibe from James Brown. Or thoughtless as regards women. I mean, watch his performances. He never quits. Its almost funny now. Truly the hardest working man in show business.

Eta - sorry! I caught a few youtubes of his, or maybe ed sullivans? And became re-fanned!

Tonight's sunset gradation from pink to orange out my bedroom window. Sorry, folks, I'm feeling both lonely and talkative (and not-quite-drunk) tonight.

Somehow the "or a girl" part makes it even worse for me.

ETA after your ETA: For me it seems like he's saying look at all these great things men did to advance civilization. You women just provide the sex and feelings so we can do great things. Women do stuff too. We're more than just sex and feelings, even if we do those things too.

h took me for a drive, as i'm in no condition to drive myself at the moment, and we talked about all this drama i'm causing over L again. somehow it's easier for me to talk to him in the car. he doesn't understand why i feel guilty so often, about so many different things, he's all you need to just live your life and deal with things when they happen and that's all there is to it.

i'm glad it's that easy for him.

I am not sure I have ever heard the song. I don't often pay much attention to lyrics. Well, except for gilbert and sullivan because they are clever.

I am getting tired of spraying everything down at the gym, especially since the evidence for surface transmission of covid is getting thin.

But I get myself to spray by imagining all the little coronaviruses screaming “aah! aah!” as my disinfectant spray hits them.

I’ve adapted to wearing a mask while working out, too.

I just raked up and bagged 2 giant trash bags full of pods that had fallen from our mesquite tree and a bunch of other tree-fallings. It's hot out there whew. Physical work is always good medicine when my soul is troubled. I was just googling what i could do with all these mesquite pods and apparently you can mill them into a gluten-free flour but from what I read, it's best to get them off the tree before they fall - after they've been on the ground bugs get in them. These have been on the ground for a couple weeks so I'm not trying it this year.

I don't think it is selfish to go and see T in person. I see EMDR T. We sit 6 ft apart and both wear masks, but I also live in a country that has their numbers low. We can only be responsible for what we do, if T chooses to see people then, as adults, I respect that.

Regular T asked how I felt about her wearing a mask. I told her it doesn't bother me as I will be wearing one. My wife works a job exposed to the public and because there is a small chance I could be asymptomatic thanks to that, I wear my mask.

Both Ts have said that of all their clients., they worry about me spreading it the least. I guess all the years of being Sheldon level scared of germs has trained me for this.

So there’s a gas leak in my apartment and the fire department is here and the animals are still inside because they hid as soon as strangers came. They’ll let me in to get them as soon as they do something with a big fan.

I’m outside answering medical questions. I screwed up the month. But I do know who the President is.

None of us felt sick. Animals seemed fine.
