Well what I do is do something nice for myself--self care--whether it is taking a hot shower and then putting on perfume, or listening to some favorite music. Or I might do some distractions like watch youtube videos or scroll my facebook feed. If I'm feeling really bad I might call or text a hotline. About missing my T, I try to think of something she would say and imagine her saying it to me. I also imagine her hugging me though we have never hugged in real life. HUGS, Kit

Get drunk
Send my therapist an email
Walk
Message my closest friend
Get drunk
Tai Chi
Read
Create something
Get drunk
Google my therapist

None of it is effective so I slump into a disaffected state and remind myself that my feelings will pass (only to return of course, but I try and ignore that inevitability).

I text her or email her. Sometimes i make a virtual collage about my feelings and email it to her. I used an app called PicCollage. It helps a bit.

I am supposed to do self care... eh.
I do play a self care play list on my stereo that has some songs that relate to where I am, some are supportive, some are songs from T’s waiting room or songs T introduced me to.
I visit the more lucrative places where I sometimes find information on T.I follow some T’s on Quora so I will go see if they have written anything new.
I try to read a book T has suggested... often this leaves me wondering about his reading habits... they are either great or pure drudgery.
This week I emailed him, told him I was having a bad week and it could wait until next session to talk about but could he please send a short, encouraging message I could go back and read as needed until session. Which he did.
