This is a chatty thread. All are welcome. We're kind of psychologically oriented, sometimes. We try to be supportive. At times we discuss what that means.

It’s a place to plop down on the couch when you come home from work or wherever, or wake up in the middle of the night, or check in at lunch, rant a bit or not, and be among friends.

We advise you not to drink or drug and text your therapist ("T") - we speak from experience.

Sometimes the thread moves fast and you might get overlooked; sometimes it moves slowly and all you hear are crickets. Sometimes you get hugged or thanked pages later. So if it's a bigger question, you might want to start a new thread.

Grab a cushion, a spot on the floor, or an armchair in the corner and make yourselves comfy.

Thanks, Lost, for the new couch. Kit grabs a cushion and sits on the couch by the window. Behind her the sky is blue with white fluffy clouds and the sun is out but not too bright, the cushion is soft and soon Kit is enveloped in a blanket on the couch!

Oh, and go Dodgers and Angels whenever baseball commences! (Only because they are LA teams, much less because I actually care about baseball unless one of said teams makes the World Series)

One of our insurance companies put out a webinar on Mental Health in the Workplace (also about COVID 19 affecting mental health). I sent the link to the CFO but she missed it. I typed up my notes from it and sent them around to the big wigs. Now the webinar is out on their webpage so I sent her the link. I feel like this is a little way to advocate for better mental health in the workplace even if it's just a small thing to do.

My therapist just sent me a text saying "Thinking of you" with a heart. She has totally redeemed herself from not calling the day she said she would!

I am simultaneously looking forward to session tomorrow, and dreading it.
It's hard being emotionally vulnerable and essentially alone.

Having a psych evaluation tomorrow. It's required for my weight loss surgery. I hope that since I'm in treatment for my issues it won't be a problem. Nervous all the same.

I'm waiting at my doctor's appointment. Saw the trauma T earlier this afternoon and I told him what T1 said last week during our session.

The staff at PHP is concerned about how I’ve been this week so they’re going to try to get me more time tomorrow. If the insurance says no, tomorrow will be my last day. I’m not sure what would be best. I’m ready to get back to “normal,” but I’m still struggling.

I can't tell if I'm still feeling ill from a difficult session yesterday or if I'm actually sick with something. My body is really screwing with me.

Appointment went as well as can be expected.

Possible trigger:

Didn't get admitted which is good. Yet I'm really hurting physically and the dr just looked at the wounds and said oh sorry when I said one hurts. H barely touched me and I flinched. My heart rate was in the 130s which was weird.

Oh well, better than what I was expecting.

Hugs...heart rate that high isn't good. Did they check into that at all? Just concerned that could be infection with wounds, as that could raise heart rate.

She just acknowledged that it was high and so was my blood pressure. Said that it looked a little red but we'll see in 2 weeks when I come back.

My chief resident is texting me trying to talk me into going to the ED (bc I feel so physically ill; I didn’t tell her anything about psych stuff). I don’t know what I should do.
