I'm getting frustrated at T1. Last week I messaged him Wednesday night about rescheduling my Friday appointment. He's often changed appointment times last minute and has done Saturday apts. He didn't respond until late Friday saying he'd keep me posted about rescheduling but I never hear back from him. Since I'm out of town again and will be driving tomorrow at our session time, I emailed him again without a response. Going to email again but I expect I'll have to wait until next Friday to talk to him again. Haven't talked to him since before I was in the hospital on the 5th.

I found a packet of henna hair dye I'd forgotten I had. It's natural henna color. Just mixed it up and put it on my hair. What the heck, if it comes out flaming red, it's not like I go very many places haha and I can always order a packet of ginger blond or something if I hate it. I like that you don't have to wait to recolor since it's natural. Anyway I'm bored. I wish the fall semester would get here. School is a good distraction. It starts in a month or so. H fell asleep on the couch already so he doesn't know I colored my hair. He will be surprised in the morning.

Artie is bored. Artie should be working on her story she is writing, that she talked about with L yesterday. Artie does not want to work on her story because it is too personal and it is not fun writing. Artie is trying to duck her process again and she is exceedingly good at doing so.

Artie needs to stop talking like this.

.... and I'm still bored.

I'm sorry you're struggling with all of those at once. But I'm glad that July is now half over, anyway.

I’m trying to figure out whether I am in menopause. I was due for my Lupron shot just after my state closed down, and my dr’s office closed, so no shot. Since then, no periods. One or two days where I feel like I have my period (water retention) but there’s no blood. The last time I felt like that was late April. For a while I was still taking a progestin that I took with the Lupron to minimize side effects, but that ran out in May. No other signs of menopause.

I’m exactly the age my mother and sister were when they entered menopause (early), so here’s hoping. I’d love to be in menopause and to have fewer meds like Lupron in my body.

i had classic menopause symptoms - hot flashes where i'd put a bag of frozen veggies on my head, night sweats, crazy mood swings, i'd go like 4 months without a period then have one, then go 3 months between.... it was so annoying.... i rejoiced when i finally made it a full year without one. i think i was probably 53 maybe when that happened? I already don't remember I was so glad to be past it and just put it behind me.

I have had bleeding 2 different times since the beginning of June and just started bleeding again only a week after the last round stopped. Round one was very light and I could deal with it even though it lasted 2 weeks. Round 2 was okay for the first 7 days, but the last 7 days were miserable. That was one week ago and I just started bleeding again today. I can't deal with this.

Monday is the third anniversary of the fire. My therapist is going on vacation after we meet tomorrow. We've arranged a phone chat on Monday and a video session on Wednesday. But for some reason this anniversary is just looming over me right now and I'm having trouble dealing with it. I'm trying not to think about how he threatened to kill me and how my whole life shattered into a million pieces and how he's going to get out of prison in three months time, but it's hard not to think of those things.

It's one of my kid's birtoday today. Feels weird not being there with him but we already celebrated and I'll make sure to call him in the morning. Not like I haven't missed a kid's birthday before by being in the hospital but regardless.

Sorry to hear that LT. In my opinion, as somebody living with a physical disability there's a good case for young people with additional needs to have access to stability, routine, and education in school.
This would allow for fulfilment of IEP targets, etc.
Horrible that this hasn't been taken into account.

Hugs, NP....I'm glad your T will be able to at least talk on the phone with you on Monday.

Did you ever get the bleeding checked out? It sounds rather concerning.

Thanks, Lost. One of the school board members was asking that if they vote for virtual school, does that mean no students would be allowed to use the school buildings at all? She was partly asking about special ed, whether there could still be the option, when it's safer, for small groups to meet. The chair said it wouldn't eliminate that option. So maybe they could do that?

Another school system in my state (each county has their own) that's also going virtual through January is going to allow some students to come in and do their work in the school with supervision (still would be doing the work remotely). Which is a solution for students whose parents have to work--a huge problem with the fully virtual plan, especially for elementary school (high schoolers could just be home alone all day if needed). Even something like that could help my D, who just doesn't want to do "school at home." And then she'd at least get to see other kids.

Hoping the camps over the next few weeks will help her a bit (they're taking lots of precautions--social distancing, wearing masks, etc.--and have very small group sizes).
