I think I have finally managed to reduce the symptoms except sometimes and the discomfort so I am going to cancel the md appt and wait and see. The only reason I was actually going to keep the appt was in case they could just toss me an antibiotic and that would be it. I am not going to do a lot of exploring etc. and if they find anything not fixable with antibiotics and diet - I wouldn't do it anyway so best to save my time and money

Maybe you could ask if he could refer you to someone else.

I don't know if it's the pandemic or just they're all getting old but this is like the third or fourth doctor I've heard of retiring from my friends who actually don't object to the treatment of customers by Western medicine like I do

There is a new person in his office, but i want to change to someone local. He is about 30 miles away, which worked when i was working, and when i owned a car, and when i didnt almost flunk my drivers eye test...!

I told this to the mds receptionist the other day. I don't think the girl had a clue what I meant.
"I understand that you are very busy and there are countless clients of your system and that they somehow they seem to understand it better than I do or accept its Byzantine torture methods better than I do...." - she just kept repeating a word and I kept telling her I didn't know what it meant they expected me to do in a step by step sort of fashion. It is like a language they think everyone knows and I am come in speaking a different language. Not unlike me and exhankster.

I may send the md a letter through their insane system - A hard part is how it is so challenging for others to understand my position. And it constantly gets misinterpreted that I am afraid of something being wrong - which is just wrong. I mean I don't want something serious, but that is not the reluctance.
And they seem to expect just to roll over and take whatever crumbs they throw at you.
And I just won't do it.

That's cute! We've hardly had any snow, altho we might get six inches this week. In the olden days, we would get 6 inches in an afternoon. Back when sd and i were walking to school 5 miles in the snow uphill both ways.

I'm spoiled living where I do now. I did grow up walking to school in the snow uphill both ways (but it was only 1 mile)

In my mind, the snow here belongs only up in the mountains surrounding us. As in, I like to look at it, but only if it stays up there where it belongs.

I did actually once walk home from school in a blizzard—the school had not notified parents they had decided to close early. And I was little (six? seven?) and literal-minded so when the teacher said to take off your shoes and put on your boots I did just that...but my boots were meant to go over shoes. I arrived home with the boots packed full of snow around my feet, which I could not feel.

Possible trigger:

I have not eaten any Oreos yet, amazingly. I am still working on the chocolate-salted-caramel-chip cookies I made a few days ago.

Trigger guy was former PA state treasurer convicted of illegal campaign contributions or some such. There is much dispute whether he was guilty.

I got the results back from my shoulder xrays, from what I'm reading it sounds like osteoarthritis. I suppose that is what I was hoping for if it had to be something, rather than a tear needing surgery. Waiting now to hear back from dr about physical therapy.
