Happy Early Birthday LT! Hope it's great! It sucks having birthdays during Covid (I mean it's better to have a birthday than not, this is coming out wrong) what I am trying to say is that is hard to celebrate a birthday during Covid. I lucked out last year. It was a biggie and I managed to make it to the Aquarium during like the three weeks they were open. It was amazing. But I have no such expectations this year. But this year's birthday isn't a biggie so I guess it's alright. Whatever you do to celebrate I hope you have a nice time and I hope that this is a great year for you! HUGS Kit

Yes, especially because I can't think of a time when I thought T was mean to me. Can't even imagine it.

But I am definitely going to stop looking, I feel like I'm prying, even if they are public tweets.

Thanks, Kit!

Something Dr. T said about that today struck me. He asked what I did last year, and I said just went out to dinner then for drinks with H while D spent the night at her grandparents'. That I've had some gatherings of friends in the past, but not in the past couple years. So it's not like I always have some big thing for my birthday. And he said that he thinks part of it is just having the option to do a thing like that, even if I choose not to do it. How right now, there isn't really the option to do certain things that I'd want to do, so that's taken away from me.

Xrays done! Only one position I had to move my arm into caused pain, but it was very brief so it was okay. Now I wait to hear back from the dr about starting physical therapy. Been back home for awhile but been working on some financial stuff.

He’s lucky—that’s what killed my father. The kicker was it was supposed to be the least aggressive form—but it turned out in the autopsy that he had a more aggressive stage as well, they had just biopsied a node still in stage 1 or with stage 1 (I’m going by what my mother told me).

Nerves take a long time to heal especially after a trauma. Give it a month to recover and get all of the swelling down.

L just texted "see you at 1pm" I started to respond "Are you gonna kick my butt again today?" But I didn't I just said "I am looking forward to it!" because I am, for some reason. Last week was tough but it resulted in a LOT of thinking on my part which led to a series of epiphanies. And, I had that exciting, very alive feeling dream where I traveled to Norway. I have been researching the town again and I kinda want to go there. But in the summer, not when it's ccccccooooollllldddddd.

I'm so sorry @@ Cancer is terrible. I'm lucky I still have my Daddy around. He was misdiagnosed at first with lung cancer (which didn't make sense as he has never smoked or been around smokers) but they weren't able to biopsy the tumor. Finally we went to another hospital where they biopsied, said it wasn't lung cancer and that it was Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and that he was going to have Chemo and Radiation and be fine. The other hospitals wanted to take out his lung. The thing is that wouldn't have even cured the cancer!

Wow, Kit. That's quite an oversight. I suppose they could charge more for that surgery than they could for chemo/radiotherapy?

Yeah, I don't know. I guess the size of the tumor had the doctors freaked out when they thought it was lung cancer. But it was attached to the wall of his lung and for whatever reason they couldn't get to it to biopsy it. And so they were pushing us to get the lung out now! But we were like, hold on, we want another opinion so we went to a cancer hospital and it was a total game changer! If I ever have cancer knock on wood, I'm going to go to a cancer hospital because it's what they do. The other hospital saw a tumor, it was in the lung, so they assumed lung cancer.

A group of my students have put my face on the bernie sanders picture and taped it to my door.
I am not positive what it means but they are having a ball with it

Actually lung cancer is becoming increasingly common among people who have never smoked and aren’t around smokers. Smoking is just one risk factor.

Today I was decluttering the living room and located the Christmas present I'd bought for H and misplaced. I'd thought maybe it had never arrived from Amazon (we got a lot of packages around that time, and I know at least one didn't arrive--got refund), but didn't want to file a claim in case I'd just misplaced it. Was in a box in another box under a couch...Apparently, I am very good at hiding things!

Almost every year around April or May Mom finds something she bought me for Christmas and brings it to me because she just found it. Lol. It's nice....it makes the holiday last longer.

I looked up online what is involved in giving platelets. It looks a little scary but I'm sure I'm over-dramatizing. Me? Overdramatize! No.

I have never done it, but my person did it when a friend of hers got leukemia. She didn't say it was awful or anything

It looks like they hook you up to both arms spin out the blood and return it to you. It takes like 2 hours which is an awful long time to sit still. Someone suggested taking a book along. Which is smart. And what I read on the website is that you might get cold from doing it. I get triggered giving blood so I'm not sure what possessed me to say yes to the blood sucking vampires who are asking for my platelets. I think I'm having anxiety about it. But I'm still going to do it. It's a good thing to do and I'm going to do it. (Talking myself into it again.)
