Yeah it can suck. Especially if your T is a good for nothing, time wasting, self indulgent jerk. But if you are lucky to find a good one then the experience can be a better one. But if this is early in therapy for you then you haven't given therapy the chance to work. Its one of those things that gets worse before its gets better.

I'm for going on strike. my session sucked today. i was also being observed again by her student. Hiss! hate that. i couldn't talk - i get censored and then they just stare at me.
Really crappy day.

I agree. That sucks. I have a hard enough time worrying about what t. is thinking about me without somebody else "watching". Are you going to a clinic or teaching hosp. where you have to go along with it?

yep -clinic. by day, that is pretty much her only open times. i try to get night times, but they are hard to come by. sometimes the student is gone. i even have a hard time calling her that. i read too much Harry Potter and in my mind i think of her as proff treylanny thinks of the centaur who shares her profession - as the usurping nag. it's mean and i try not to - the other thing the brain used to call her was "the child" because she can't be more than 22 (no offense to the young-ens - i'm not much older). I just get irritable when she is there. I can't be as open with t.

I'm not doing so well, but I love him again.
We did an EMDR "session" over the phone today so that I would be able to get through something that I have to do tonight that I really don't want to do because of how depressed I feel. |
