I wonder if I was "Stone Girl"* at some point... or just "the attached one."

*He may have had another one that was "Stoned Girl," but very different meaning there.

You mentioned my 4 nicknames? Okay, so maybe T had a different one for me for each day of the week session? That makes sense...

Does anyone have any recipes for pork belly? I bought it because it was on special and realised i dont know how to cook it. I am partial to asian flavours and i saw a video recently where someone used it in ramen.

Bah, woke up at 3am for no reason. I’m just waiting until 6am so I can make breakfast for the BF and me and then get up to go home for 7am session (he usually makes breakfast but since I’m already up and he was super tired last night I thought I’d see if I could pull it off without setting the smoke alarm off).

I wonder if I’m moving too fast with the BF? It’s only a few months in and already I’m spending practically every night at his place. I know I’m not overstaying my welcome bc he keeps asking me to come back... but I wonder if T will say I’m letting things get too intense too quickly.

I've made gua bao before with pork belly (kind of an asian hamburger with a sticky sauce over the meat).
You could also make bacon out of it, if you have the space in your fridge. Or just roast it in the oven with some spices.

Just make sure you take your time making it. It will be tough if you don't cook it long enough, I think if you braise it in liquid it takes about 2 hours.

I just had my new ebike delivered (yay for being old - these things are so much fun and my knees still work after riding unlike unassisted bikes) and beat the snot out of my hands unpacking and removing the excessive number of zip ties. Cuts, blood and bruising but I have it released. The fun part is that the box was beat up and the stupid zip ties were not doing anything useful

I feel like my friends are ignoring me today. I have sent out some text messages but gotten no responses. It doesn't take long to write a text. I know people are busy and have stuff going on in their lives but it takes what, a minute or two to write a text. Maybe less. Even just "Hi Kit" would have sufficed. Maybe I am too needy this week.

I sometimes don't even see texts for a day or so. I might know they are there, but I don't usually feel a need to read them right away unless I know my friends are trying to schedule some gathering or other. If someone really wants me, they will call.

But I really do think sometimes people just aren't checking their devices all the time for messages. I wouldn't assume it was personal or even that they had seen it for a couple of days.

Yeah I get that. But I've been talking with these friends all week via text. I've been rather crisis-y this week and last week--this is why I think I might be too needy. BTW, three of the four did text me after I texted them a scripture verse. Even if it was just a heart that's all I needed. The fourth one is bothering me that she hasn't texted because she is the one I've been texting the most. She lost her job last week so I have been trying to really be there for her but I might have scared her yesterday when I was talking about my voices. I don't remember how it came up. Oh yeah she was trying to convince me that she was really okay and I was saying well if you're really okay maybe I can tell you something. And then yeah. That's what spilled out of me. Sigh. I'll give it a few days. I don't want to call. We aren't that close. But we are text close. I think anyway.

I guess I see text as more intimate than calling. Probably because I am old and really don't text except with very close friends.

There's maybe one friend that I call and only a few times a year. And there is an older (than me) friend that I will call but only because she doesn't really text. Most everyone I text whether we are good friends or acquaintances. BUT I am also hearing impaired which makes talking on the phone difficult for me and I have a speech impediment which can make it difficult for me to be understood depending on the person. Some people understand me fine. Other's think I have a "cute" accent. And other's are like huh? What? So yeah, text is my go-to. If I hadn't been texting her all week I could see that she might just be busy but now I'm just worried I'm too much. I'm too big of a problem.
