I wouldn't like the ground floor open window/door. It would be too distracting and I'd feel less safe. Could she put a Japanese screen in front of the door? I don't care how many times you tell me no one can see in, I don't believe it. My therapist is on the third floor so I don't have to deal with this, thankfully.

The small room you described is similar to T's office, so I chose that. However, I prefer L's office: decent size room with therapist and client on opposite ends, but clear path to door in case I need to run...lol. There is a large wimdow that she keeps open, but it looks onto an alley where almost no one ever walks by.

I love T’s big office and all the different spaces he has created in it. However, we have discovered the most important piece for me is lighting. I do best in a very well lit office.
