I am finally reading a present from my sister, a book of essays by Samantha Irby. It’s hilarious, on depression among other things.

I hate canned tuna. Maybe because I've only had it in sandwiches with iceberg lettuce. I hate iceberg lettuce too.

You deserve TLC when unwell.

My parents and nanny always complained tons whenever I was sick as a kid. For some reason me having to barf always triggers this intense sadness and misery.

Then I got carsick with my fiancé driving and he was so soothing and gentle, I almost cried. Another time, I came down with a horrible flu or cold and basically spent several days sleeping a lot. He'd fetch me whatever I wanted, stroked my back and hair if I wanted (I get really teary when unwell), did all the chores and made food I could eat...

We ended up at a supermarket looking at cans of tuna. Some say 1 can is a serving, point to date. Some say a can has 2 servings, point to me. Some say 2.5 servings, which is ridiculous, who eats a half-serving? Round down, point to me.
I generally use each individual can twice, and save the leftovers in the fridge. Depends on what I'm making, but I can make two-three sandwiches from the same can.

Tuna is king among baked potato fillings for me. However, I used to go to a pub where they offered home-made chili con carne with their jacket potatoes...and that was one of the best things I have ever eaten.

I'm getting into the elements of my long term writing project that I cannot fully remember off the top of my head, which means one thing.

Delving into old journals. Underestimated the gut punch that would be.

And back to summer today with temps near 90. Tuna loving cat is very happy with the warm weather. Ancient decrepit demented cat might not have noticed yet, but soon he will choose to sleep cuddled up in only one or two blankets rather than the two blankets and an old down throw from my person that he has claimed as his own all winter. When he finally shuffles off, I will be able to pick up the 3 extra dog beds I have set out just for him to use - they keep him from getting stepped on by the dogs when he tries to share the beds the dogs use and I can put them and his blankies right next to the radiators and he doesn't fall off of them like he now does when he tries to jump on to the heat source to nap. If only I could train them as easily as they do me.

Bah. Still feeling cruddy. Didn't eat dinner last night, but managed some breakfast this morning. Sipping on Gatorade. BF's being really sweet about it.

Started watching BoJack Horseman -- anyone else ever watched it? I never thought I'd like it but reddit seems to be all over it, and I'm having Rick and Morty/Solar Opposites withdrawals.

I love Bojack Horseman. The various season 11 episodes tend to get pretty gritty, so might be a good idea to bear that in mind if you are watching whilst feeling fragile.

When my Mom makes tuna sandwiches 1 pouch (we don't buy cans we buy pouches) equals two sandwiches. When my Dad or I make tuna sandwiches 1 pouch equals one sandwich with some left over for the cats--mostly Esther. Amelia doesn't seem too interested.

I got a doxy.me link to use for my therapy session today with Dr. K. I think I'm kind of nervous (first appointment). I'm not entirely sure what I'm going to say if he asks for a goal. I mean I sort of know but I don't know if I can articulate it. Depending on how this session goes, I may or may not cancel my other T appointment with Regular T on Saturday. It would be nice to have a Saturday with NOTHING to do. I've never used doxy.me so I looked it up online and walked through the steps on how to use it. Seems simple. I hate holding my phone for the 45 minutes to 1 hour that the session will be but I don't have a camera on my computer so........it will have to be my phone.

Okay, I challenged myself to try this 1 can of tuna = 1 sandwich thing.

Tuna, mayonnaise, slice of swiss cheese, melted in microwave on pre-toasted gluten free bread. It all fit on the bread but as soon as I went to eat it tuna squooshed out. I ended up eating 3/4 of the can on bread, 1/4 with a spoon. I could barely taste the cheese, there was so much tuna. The balance between cheese, tuna, and bread was seriously off. (Like stopdog's objection to Oreos with extra creme.)

I can see 1 tuna pouch=1 sandwich, but not two sandwiches. Too much bread.

Could you write your goal down ahead of time, Kit?
Maybe thinking about how to put it on paper would help it come into words?

Also wishing you a good session!

You could try propping your phone up on something instead of holding it. Like lean it against a couple books, then if it's sliding, put something in front of it. That's what I did when I had to switch to Facetime for one of my sessions (after I'd spilled water on my laptop...).

1 can = 1 sandwich can still be done by using a 60g can instead of the 110g ones. Or you could get the extra large 200g cans and share sandwiches at a picnic. Tuna could be the new SIM.
