I am doing it so that I won't immediately break out into sores after eating a piece - so far so good on that front. I am dehydrating the pineapple so I have no idea about juiciness one way or the other.

SD thanks for the tip. I love fresh pineapple but it doesn't love me back. I'm going to try it this weekend, will report back.

stopdog I have never heard of putting a pineapple in salt water but I am intrigued. I have never been big on pineapple except for this one dish we have at the holidays that has pineapple and whipped cream and all sorts of yummy deliciousness but now I am curious about trying it. I had a Hawaiian boss and he never told me this trick. Hmm. You are a fount of knowledge. You and @@ I always learn new words from @@. Y'all are awesome.

Whew, today's training done! Once again the day went by really fast because there was SO much material crammed into the 8 hours. We ended the day by taking a 30 question quiz which I passed by only 1 point (we have to score 80% to consider 'passed') this one thankfully I had to take only once. There was one yesterday that I had to retake 3 times before I passed. SO much material. I'm hoping it all starts coming together in the next day or two.

At my haircut today, it was so weird! Ive been watching all these youtube videos about how to cut hair, so as the hairdresser was combing and clipping and etc, i was like, i can feel and tell what youre doing! It always felt so COMPLETELY RANDOM before. It was really a hoot. She even likes one of the same guys i like, Sam something. Anyway, i look like my 5th grade self now.

LEt me know how it goes - I used 1TB of kosher salt to 2 C of water and soaked for about 5 min. Doing a general search got varying amounts of salt and time so I just sort of combined a couple and came up with that. Some people soak for up to 15 min or even 30 min and some as little as 1 min. I really wanted to make sure the salt had its chance so I used a TB but some people only use .5 to 1 teaspoon to 1 C water.

Don't haircuts feel good? I'd forgotten how good they feel it had been so long since I got mine cleaned up awhile back. I'm thinking about getting another 2-4 inches taken off mine. Right now it just barely reaches my underarms. Just need to be sure it can still be pulled into a ponytail.... as 100+ degree F temps are quickly approaching here!

I am really grateful that incarry a book around in my handbag because it made the 5 hours at the hospital go by quickly. I did feel a little weird reading a book with everyone else on their phones.

Trying to get up the nerve to schedule a tour at the gym that's closest to where I'm moving. They have an indoor pool and an aqua fit class 2 evenings a week and on Saturday that i would love to start doing. i'm so overweight though i'm afraid of being judged if i go. i can schedule a tour in an hour from now - trying to screw up my courage!

eta: i made an appointment for an hour from now, for a 15 minute tour. I can do this.

So I was really struggling with some things tonight. Texted Dr. T, asking if there was any way we could talk. I was sure he'd say no (or not reply till morning). But he offered a Zoom meeting. So I met with him from like 8:40 to 9:10. It was helpful, and I really appreciate his being willing to meet with me. It just didn't seem like something he'd ever be open to doing. But I feel much more stable and safe now, and I have a direction forward to deal with what I was struggling with.

Back from the gym. I am excited, and have already joined. This is the one that is most affordable and has an indoor pool to boot so I can swim year-round. It is actually less expensive than I had figured out on their website, so that was a plus as well. I got to watch the end of this evening's aqua fit class and it looks like something I will enjoy. They have a spa too, and open lap swim outside of the class times until I think it's 11pm. I'm going to search for my old swimming suit and assuming it still fits, will swim tomorrow evening! Might have to go buy a new one first... anyway I didn't feel uncomfortable at all in there, there were people of all shapes and sizes working out. I need to get this old body moving and swimming is the best way I can think of to do so.

He really was a little love bug, now that you mention it. I think he was a role model for me, without my realizing it.

2nd giveaway maybe on Nextdoor. Last week was canning lids. This week a guy is looking for a kneeling chair, as he calls it. We used to call them the back chair. I think i still have mine. I cant use it, it hurts my knees now.

People were also complaining that they cant get swim times at the city public pools. I guess this is a big swimming town. Uh i mean, of course i knew that!

I'm proud of you Artie bean!

I honestly can understand how you might feel, but all the times I saw people who were overweight I always thought good for them. You're there to work on yourself. I found people were actually nicer towards me

T still hasn't replied to my email in which I asked for an extra session, but I ended up just talking to my BF about what was upsetting me. It was difficult for both of us, I think, but the talk went well and now I feel 400% better.

I've been afraid to do or say anything significant in my relationship with my BF without talking with T first (without really realizing I felt that way) but apparently I'm more competent than I gave myself credit for.

Morning couchies! Day 4 of the work training is about to start. Just checking in here since I have a little extra time in the mornings this week. Another good thing about the gym I joined that I don't think I mentioned last night is they have a physical therapy area, with the same equipment I was using at the PT place! I was really surprised to see that. I can't wait to go swim after work today! Have a good day all and hugs to all who want.
