Does anyone get anxious when a T says they will send you an email and they don’t in a timely matter? How long should you give them before sending a reminder?

I’d say it depends on what’s timely and what’s the email. I recently had my T say she’ll email to check in over the next few weeks. And she emailed around 3 weeks later. Had she not emailed, I wouldn’t be bothered, bc I didn’t need anything from her.
If it was about getting information that was pertinent to something, then I’d wait a couple days and check in. Hope that makes sense. |

I agree with @CharlieStarDust I think it depends what is in the email and if there are time constraints in the email. Like for example if it were an email to see if she has any scheduled openings this week, and today is Tuesday, you might want to send a follow up by the end of today, or call the office, because there are only three days left in the week. Email conversations tend to be slow. I would think more time rather than less time. HUGS Kit

I agree with both of the comments. If it's something about scheduling, which would be time-sensitive, then I'd go ahead and check in. Sometimes, T's get busy and forget, and it's nothing personal. My therapist doesn't really count questions on scheduling (or billing) as emails or texts. You could just send something like, "You mentioned you'd email me about x. I'm sure you're busy, but just checking in."
