My IOP case manager is trying to get me more days for IOP. He texted and then called me for the MG on my new medication. I had just texted him back when the phone rang.

Then the T that I saw once on the 16th texted me to see where I was at in the IOP process and did I want another session, etc. I said I did but that I couldn't have one while I was in IOP because the IOP therapist said I couldn't see two therapists at one time. So I told her about being kicked out of IOP for 21 hours and so forth and how that all went down. She was like check with your case manager because I think you could use more support during your transition from IOP to outpatient. So I need to follow up with that. I don't know if he is getting me more days or not. I do know my insurance is paying a good deal for my treatment.

I did ask covering IOP therapist if she would consider seeing me after IOP and we are going to talk about it tomorrow. I am bracing myself for a no because she didn't automatically say yes. So at least I do have that other T that I saw once. I just wasn't sold on her due to her health stuff and things. But she is confident she can help me so there's that.

Ugh. Therapy can be so hard sometimes!

I think this new medicine is making me hungry. That's all I need.

It can be a problem with that one. I couldn't take it. I actually didn't get hungrier and STILL gained weight. It was a no-go for me.

Thanks Artley. I talk to my psychiatrist tomorrow so he might have a better option.

Yeah, in my case, I gained 15 pounds in like 2 weeks, which is ridiculous even if I was eating more. My pdoc took me off of it and put me on something else at the time (can't remember what - was a long time ago).

Keep an eye on it. He may tell you to try it a bit longer and just watch.

Thanks. I'm hoping because it is PRN that it won't be a big deal but IDK. I also never know when to take PRN medications so that is always a tricky part for me. Thank you for being open and sharing. HUGS Kit

This is not to set off any sort of debate, but, yay, FDA Advisory Panel recommends vaccine for 5- to 11-year-olds! A couple small steps to get through for full (emergency-use) approval, but could be available as early as late next week for kids my D's age in US.

I'm reluctant to let him stay at the vets for any length of time unless I have no other choice, because their policy is currently if they have to close again due to COVID, and your pet is already there, that you can't pick them up and the family is responsible for boarding charges for however long they have to be closed. That would be awful to have to leave him there with no way to visit him or knowing for how long.

The old dining suite that we had for years that the ex gave to me when i moved into public housing was taken away today. It felt so good to hear it being broken up in the compactor.

Working with two year olds can be SO exhausting. We have one child who is constantly pushing/hitting EVERYONE in the class. All day long. And no intervention is really helping at the moment.

I have been getting paperwork together in preparation for a consultation later this week with a lawyer about disability accommodations. In organizing it, I keep thinking “gee, this whole experience has been as bad as/worse than I thought.”

Sort of like when I look back on marriage with 2ex.

Ugh. @@, just reading about it pisses me off. What the h is their problem? This is one area our university is pretty good in all around.

I’m sorry they suck so much.

(P.S. Is it possible German Chider meant the confident comment as complimenting and aimed at also considering the needs of others who may not be able to advocate as well as you? As in the polite way to say Helllooooo, dumba*****, get your act together? Maybe I am projecting a little of my own wishes there because that’s what I want to say....)

I know that's probably what she meant, yeah, or at least she meant it as more complimentary than it hit my ears.

So, apparently, until I mentioned it to him, it didn't even occur to Dr. T that he could get picked to be on the jury for a trial. He said he thought the worst that could happen would be that he'd be stuck there all day Monday. Uh, does he not understand the purpose of jury duty? It's not just to go hang out in the courthouse for a day.

Wow, LT.

I've always considered Dr. T quite intelligent from your posts, but that seems like quite a lapse. I hope he doesn't get chosen...for both your sakes.

Well covering IOP T doesn't take my insurance and her cash pay is too high for me so back to the T that I saw on the 16th I guess. The older lady with the health problems who is taking off all of December. Why is it so hard to find a T? I guess my case manager got more days approved for IOP. I'm tired! I feel like I need a day off from everything, but I just had one! Now I know why a lot of people in my IOP program have taken leaves of absences from work! It's too much to try to work and do IOP!

It took me a more than a couple of years to stop smoking completely. You will do it. There are good tips online to help with this. It just takes persistence and not seeing smoking again as a failure after all its a physical dependency as well as a psychological one.

I have decided to get rid of my car it will save me $900 a year in insurance, $500 for rego and an untold amount in maintenance and petrol. It is 15 years old i bought it second hand and if i dont have it i wont be tempted to drive it and stress out about whether it will die in the middle of traffic. It just means i will need a taxi or uber to the doctors and getting the mobile vet in which might be a problem as they dont have nurses rhat can hold the bigger dog. There is no way i will spend $1400 a year in taxis so i am saving here. Grocery delivery is free for over a certain amount and i wont have to make multiple trips to shops because i was in too much pain to get everything i need in one trip. So i think i am making a good decision. This will mean more money for my garden and other hobbies.

I like your thinking. If public transportation was reliable where I live, I would sell mine in a heartbeat.

We have an ok public transport system but the bus stops dont have shelters and many dont have seating and i cant stand in the tropical heat for that long plus the walk to the bus stop is bit too far for what my legs will do. The only downside is i wont be able to go for a drive when i feel like it just to look around which is a great distraction for me but i will fill this need in with hobbies.
