I've only just started therapy (I've had 2 sessions so far, pretty much only evaluation stuff as of yet)...But I'm so glad that I decided to go for it.

I have another session on Thursday, and this will be the first "real" one. It will be just me and my T (no parents because she's already gotten the info she needed from them), and I think other than the OCD screening, we're done with the evaluation.

Is it weird that I'm really looking forward to this?

I mean, I am, but at the same time, I'm not because I don't really like thinking about all the stuff that's going on, and it's not really the most comfortable thing to be so vulnerable.

I'm glad you're looking forward as well as knowing it's not totally comfortable/a walk in the park :-) The two "seesaw" feelings help keep the whole thing going.

So, you think you'll continue with the OCD evaluation/test tomorrow too?

I think I probably will do the OCD evaluation or whatever tomorrow. My T said that I would.

Other than that, I have no idea what's in store for the session.

heh - i keep thinking today is thursday because of this post and the fact that i just got back from t. it was so odd, because she comes into the waiting room and goes "Kiya! t's good to see you! Sooo glad you could make it!" and gives me a hug!! like i just got back from a world cruise or something. i just saw the woman last week... turns out her front desk told her i had canceled and crossed me off the list! i had no knowledge of this. i'm glad they didn't schedule someone over me! =)

Lol. That's OK. It is good that someone else didn't get scheduled for your time!

I'm hoping that after this week, I can have a regularly scheduled time for T instead of changing it from week to week. It's had to be like that so far (tomorrow is session #3) because of my insane schedule and my T's insane schedule...The first time was Friday evening (her last appointment of the day), second time was Friday morning (first appointment of the day), and tomorrow is mid morning. I should be able to schedule a regular time though after tomorrow because my schedule will be a lot less crazy.

I didn't get to have my session.

My T had two people scheduled at the same time because for both of us, we didn't have school and she didn't realize it...And the other girl who was scheduled lives an hour away, so she got the spot.

My new appointment is tomorrow afternoon.

I'm glad that I could get fit in, but I'm really unhappy about not getting my session today.

Oh, what rotten luck. Makes sense to take the other girl since she lives further away but still doesn't feel so good that one isn't "chosen" to stay. I'm glad it's just until tomorrow though, that was at least "fast".

Yeah. It does make sense that the other girl got the spot. I mean, I live like 10 minutes away from the office, so it's not that difficult for my parents to rearrange their schedule just a little bit to get me there...But yeah.

The session was good.

I feel completely drained from it...But it was good.

We did the OCD screening. Yes, I have it. No surprise really...My T told me about this book (Brain Lock) that she wants me to read.

We talked about other things too like my relationship with my sister.

There's probably more, but I really can't remember a lot of the session.

Thank you for mentioning the book your therapist asked you to read, that really looks good!

Get use to being tired; it's hard work, therapy is! :-) Glad it went well.

No problem.

I went to Amazon and was reading all about the book and reviews and such.

And yeah...I can tell therapy is hard work.
