My right eyelid has been doing that the past few days. I’m sure it’s not serious, probably stress or eyestrain or exhaustion or eye dryness, I just want it to go away and know how much longer I have to put up with it.
I do have that happen from time to time. It is very annoying. I get it every so often and it lasts for a few days and then goes away.

Kit: Congrats! I haven't gotten a bonus in years, nor a raise

ATAT: It hasn't happened in a while, but I used to get random eyelid twitching and it drove me mad!

My eye used to twitch often. Esp when i was working, didnt get enough sleep and drank too much coffee. But it hasnt happened since i was put on topamax, which is an anti-seizure medication among other things. So i would say you guys got a screw loose somewhere, analogically speaking.

I've had this happen--it's annoying. It will happen a bunch for a week or so, then stop. Try taking magnesium--it can help.

Yeah, doesnt magnesium help your electrolyte balance? Thats why youre shorting out.

Yes, something like that, can help relax muscles and nerves. Also helps with migraine prevention. I think potassium can also help with the twitching (another electrolyte). The human body is so complicated...

My chiropractor recommended magnesium and potassium supplements to stop the muscle spasms I was having in my back. He said something marketed for leg cramps would work.

I get the twitch in my eyelid occasionally, if I put my fingertip on the spot it will stop, but it always repeats. Since I don't have healthy sleep hygiene I always blame it on eye strain and fatigue.

Involuntary muscle movements are weird!

Agreed on involuntary muscle movements being weird. One of the two times I had a panic attack during physical therapy is when they had me hooked up to a TENS machine (little electrodes giving zaps to muscles) and it hit on this one neck muscle in a certain way that it kept twitching strongly. I was alone in the room, they weren't due to come back for 10 minutes, and I was freaking out because it was such an odd sensation (I think they'd just placed it a bit wrong or had it dialed up too high). I could have called for someone, but being like, "heeellllp!" seemed a bit extreme. But I was freaking out.

Today in amusing Dr. T things:
We were talking about ways that I can connect with myself and things that make me happy or have made me happy in the past. I mentioned dancing in my basement the other night and just listening to music. He's historically said he doesn't like music. Today he said, "I don't hate music. I do listen to it sometimes when I'm doing things. I just wouldn't spend $200 and 10 hours on a concert. But I do like some of it." Me: "OK, so you aren't a total weirdo then." Dr. T (smiling): "No, just mostly a weirdo."

Note: I'm not saying that people who aren't into music are weirdos, it's just sort of recurring joke between me and Dr. T.

Session otherwise went well, including discussion of a minor conflict/misunderstanding from last session that led to an email.

Okay, I'll go out and pick up some magnesium/potassium supplements.

I hope you all have good malpractice insurance--stopdog will be representing me in the event of a negative outcome.

Oh! That's sad. Yes, she most certainly did! (Know how to construct a sentence, I mean.) I will never forget the first time I read "Play it as it lays" many years ago. It affected me deeply, even back then (early 1980's). I think I'm going to read it again.
