I had to get tested or screened or something for Tuberculosis for a volunteer position once. I didn't even know people got that anymore. I thought it died out the same time as polio.

TB still exists. When I was a public defender, several of my co-workers caught it from going to see clients in prison or jail.

I had some dry needling done for the first time today. Dry needling hurts like hell.

Brady seems particularly full of himself. As does Aaron Rodgers. I think what tends to annoy me the most is when the announcers (including Joe Buck) just fawn all over them.

Boy, this led me down a whole path. I was in marching band my first year of college. (This was a few years before the aforementioned brother played there.) It was too many 7am practices for me, so I quit after that one year even though it was kind of fun. It's how I met my ex. He played trumpet and I was piccolo. He showed up drunk to a game halfway through the semester and got kicked out of band. Red flag much? Sigh. There was a fight song that we played a lot. It was fun to play. The crowd would sing along. It's kind of a nostalgic song for me because it's partially about the state that I spent a good chunk of my life in. I listen to the song every once in a while. It's just weird now because although there's natural beauty there, there are so, so many bad memories involving my ex in that state also. I have no desire to ever set foot there again. One person ruined an entire state for me. I feel like I've lost my entire adult life and I can't get it back. Sorry guys, I guess I'm feeling sorry for myself today.

I am not a football fan... I don't find it very exciting, I guess. Seems very slow-moving with lots of time with the players standing around or milling about. I far prefer college basketball. Although I guess I really only care if the team from my hometown is playing.

I was in marching band throughout high school and college. We used to drink during the game - the only rule was don't get your flask flashed on national tv (or if you were a brass player - don't get your 5th that you stored in the bell flashed on national tv). Pretty much as long as the drummers with their joints stayed off the jumbotron or tv - we were all okay

December was my first time going to a professional game in person, a football game. I always wondered what they do during commercials. Now I know. Stand there. It was bizarre. I am used to soccer which I played in high school and THAT kind of football is fast paced in my opinion and not all these stops for stuff. You just keep going.

I was in marching band, concert band, and jazz band in high school for two years. I liked jazz band the best and marching band the least. I played alto saxophone. I probably would have stuck with it except for my sophomore year when I tested for a chair I ended up with first chair which meant I had to do all the solos. I was third chair in freshman year which meant I got to goof off quite a bit. I was in a lot of hard classes academically so band was a respite. But then when band turned to be heavy duty for me just like the rest of my classes I didn't want to do it my junior or senior year. Junior year was the best. I had creative writing, honors English, trig, agriculture, American Film and I think agriculture again. It was like the easiest best year ever.

I don't recall what the official rule on drinking was, but he got no second chance, so it probably wasn't allowed. Also he was stumbling drunk. I probably should have told him to go back to his dorm. Kind of hard to perform the pregame and halftime shows when you're stumbling drunk. You got 300 people on the field who are all in formation, that one drunk guy is probably going to stand out.

I prefer soccer as well. Unless there's an injury, a VAR check or they're subbing players, the ball is almost always in motion. If you watch it on TV, there's no commercials until halftime. Draws are allowed, so during regular season, there's no overtime. You're pretty much guaranteed that the game is 90 minutes plus the 15 minute halftime break.

My beef with basketball is when they start using timeouts to stretch the last 30 seconds of the game into what feels like forever. Just finish the game already!

I feel like I'm going to explode in a rage. It's reasonable that I feel irritated, but I shouldn't be this annoyed. So what if some douche doing 3rd party IT for my client is absolutely useless and a patronizing dickhead to boot?

I can't stop spinning my wheels on this.

I'm still feeling pretty depressed. I hope the weekend will help with it's relaxation and art and football and time to myself.

I find I like football a bit better if I'm watching it on the DVR with maybe a 20-minute delay. Then I can fast-forward through most of the commercials. It also helps now that I play fantasy football because I often have someone to root for (even an individual player) if my home team isn't playing.

With both soccer and hockey (my husband's sport), there's a lot of movement, but not much scoring, which I tend to find boring (plus with hockey, I have trouble keeping track of where the puck is). I grew up watching baseball, but tend to find that rather brutal to watch on TV unless it's in the background. Granted, it goes much more slowly than it did when I was a kid, pitchers taking more time between pitches. It's more fun in person, but it's been a long time since I've been to a game. Basketball, I'll watch college during the March Madness playoffs (and I generally have a bracket that I bet a small amount on, so I have some sort of rooting interest).

Apparently none of you people have the nuanced intellect or bladder power to appreciate a 0-0 baseball game going into the 15th inning.

When my mother took us to ballgames, I would carry a novel and volunteer to go get the hotdogs and sometimes I would walk all around the stadium before going back. god it was the most boring thing ever without a book.

I went to a few SF Giants baseball games when we lived in the Bay Area. My son was young then so we would spend much of the game waiting in line to go down the coke bottle slides haha!

It's snowing.

I think the last time was 2013?

It's pretty. I hope the power doesn't go out. Our infrastructure isn't set up for this.
