Well, it seems I expended all my self-discipline to get myself out of the house. Because I got not one, not two, but six treats.

LT, we have a regional PNW brew pub chain here that has a really good veggie burger made with one of their ales and malted grains. That and a side of their Cajun tots, yum.

Thanks for the report! Fried stuff tends to not do as well if not fresh, I've learned from doing a fair amount of takeout during the pandemic. Even if it's just, say, 30 minutes. I've attempted a couple methods of reheating fries, but none were the same.

Jealous of the brew pub!

I think you could probably reheat fries in an air fryer. But not add extra oil because then they'd be soggy.

Reheating fries in an air fryer works amazingly well! I was persuaded to take home fries from a restaurant by my sister because the meal was so expensive, to her (even though I paid and it wasn't that much).... I was despairing of what to do with leftover fries, but the air fryer proved its worth!

One of my friends just told me the other day that heating up leftover pizza in the air fryer is amazing too. Her microwave was on the fritz so she stuck it in her air fryer instead and was happily surprised. I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks for this! I didn't even think about how my mouth will have to be so wide open for so long. UGH. Though I survived 4 cavities and a 45 minute appt.

Thanks LT. I never would have done this if one of my wisdom teeth hadn't gotten infected.

I just stayed on top of the Advil for a few days (taking it on a regular schedule, before anything starts hurting too much) and then was fine. I think it was a higher dose of Advil than one would normally take, but you'll get all that info in your discharge instructions. Hopefully your experience will be similarly uneventful.
Thank you, EM. I hope so too.

We use kfc popcorn chicken to lure my tweaky mostly blind dog up the stairs - until my new body parts I just carried him up the stairs but I can't do that again yet

I burnt myself cooking burgers for the men last night. Today, I have a huge blister on my finger.

We got H an air fryer for Christmas. He wants fries with his burgers. I have yet to open it. All of you posting about air fryers are persuading me to get it out. Is it friendly to people who lack cooking skills? Lol

Thanks. I will definitely check it out!
I didn't remember anything about the procedure. I'd say my difficulties were with the recovery. Mostly because I was really hungry but I couldn't have enough soft / instant food. So that triggered me as I didn't have someone to cook for me for the first couple of days, but didn't feel strong enough to leave home to buy porridge.. Later, my friend made me food and once I got enough calories, I felt better. Some people drink Ensure but gawd, I hate it even when I blended it in a matching ice cream.

Pain-wise, it was alright. Mine healed after one week and I didn't get dry socket.

Oh no!! Not Meatloaf now too. I listened to to Bat out of Hell endlessly when it came out in what, 1977? Still love the song For Crying Out Loud.

Honestly, I didn't have very good results when I tried to make fries from scratch. They were soggy. I probably screwed up the prep somehow, but haven't gotten around to trying again some 4 years later. But I do like to use my air fryer for frozen fries from the grocery store. I don't add any additional oil and they come out better than in the oven.

The latest thing I've been trying to do is falafel but my last attempt wasn't so great.

I also like to put veggies in there, usually when I don't feel like dealing with the oven to roast them. Just toss in a bit of olive oil and they're good.

Oh, I didn't realize it could be used for roasting veggies. Hm... Seems like it could be good in the summer when you wouldn't want the oven on for an hour.

I liked the Bat out of Hell album -but frankly I was surprised he lived past 1979. He always looked about to have a heart attack to me.

I think it already ended with the changing of nouns into verbs. I shudder at the use of gift as a verb.
