I miss a lot of people too. There were some on here who were an integral part of my healing from ex-T abandoning me. I wish I could tell them thank you, that they made a difference. This whole forum made a difference for me.

Just got home from buying a new car. Well, a new-to-us used car ha. We bought a 2015 Honda Accord from Carmax. It's nice, h will enjoy using it for work. One thing checked off of the list. Fridge repair place called earlier, the parts they ordered are supposed to be in mid-next-week, so hopefully they'll be able to come install them a week from today. We borrowed our friend's small fridge they use on their patio so it's out in the garage keeping stuff cold for the time being. Tomorrow's the biggie, h's stent procedure. They called this afternoon and asked us to come an hour earlier, so that means hopefully we'll be back home earlier. He has to be there at 11:30am, the procedure is still scheduled for 2pm but she said they'll likely get to him earlier hence asking us to come earlier, then he has to wait there under observation for several hours or something after before I can take him home. I packed a bag with a book to read, a sudoku book, some yarn/patterns/crochet hooks so I'm ready. He's not worried, is looking forward to not feeling so tired all the time. My uncle said after he got his put in he felt years younger energy-wise. Then again, my uncle's blockage % was a good bit higher than they said h's is, so.... I don't know. We'll see. Unfortunately, we got home too late for me to join the zoom drum circle tonight, but that's okay I will just go drum for myself before I fall asleep... and as usual lately, have a little 'talk' with L in my head. I still do that a lot at night when I can't sleep.

We're both negative for covid! I get to see L today!!! We're still going to wear masks today just in case it's a false negative. But I'm so excited!

Sending lots of good energy your way, Artie (and H).
Hoping for an easy procedure and an uneventful recovery. __________________ 'Somewhere up above the great divide Where the sky is wide, and the clouds are few A man can see his way clear to the light 'You have all the grace you need for today, and today is all that matters.' - Steve Austin |

I mean, this is probably just a coincidence (though I know various devices are "listening"), but it's still a little weird to me that Dr. T recommended a Netflix show to me today ("Love on the Spectrum"), then I get home to an email from Netflix where it's one of their recommendations (and I haven't watched anything at all related on Netflix lately).
Has anyone watched that? He was trying to figure out if it would be more depressing to me or give me some optimism/hope, regarding D. |

I just listened to an episode of my favorite knitting podcast (The Very Pink Knits podcast) where one of the hosts went on a long tangent about how she watched the entire season of Love on the Spectrum in a weekend and she said it was really heartwarming and charming. She doesn't have any children, much less an autistic child, so I don't know how it would make you feel, but she seemed to really like it as one random opinion.

He said how in "Love on the Spectrum," one of the helpers (I forget in what context, like an aide? Social worker? Something like that) for a character on the spectrum was autistic herself. And how that person could be especially helpful because she understood from personal experience. So that there's probably a lot of opportunity, like D could potentially eventually work helping someone else on the spectrum. I feel like that was all worded really confusingly, but it was a pretty emotional session (I think because it was her last day of school?), and I feel like I have no brain power left ....which is bad, because I have work to finish up! |

Well I showed up at the office and apparently my Psychiatry appointment had been canceled, they tried calling my phone but since my phone was off at the time the call didn't show up in my call log. However they did schedule me for face-to-face Therapy sessions at their office, which I would prefer. I will also now be having a Female Therapist, which I have almost always had.
