As some of you know for about 4-5weeks my mind has been making up the strangest things that aren't true.

All seem to be centered around my T. First started off thinking she was going to leave me, then cancel before my sessions , then get mad if I e-mail her to much, and now think I'm a liar. I recently took a MMPI ( think thats the name) Test to get into a rehab program for college ( help get you jobs, etc). See I've had a horrid time concentrating, remembering things, etc...as of late....well i took the test and on it it asked the same question over and over....through out the test.

Now i'm afraid what if I put 2 different answers All Negatives with a Positive T....she'll think I"m a liar.....see it asked questions like "do you ever have bad thoughts, to bad to tell anyone"....really I'm not sure....i know that sounds dumb...but yeah so i may have answered it wrong...i dont remember....

So now I have...

-Ts going to leave me.
-T's going to cancel,
-T hates me
-T thinks I'm a liar...

none true....but how do i tell my mind that?

She does teh best job of anyone of reassuring me ( except about the liar thing she doesnt know about...tho she does know i had trouble concentrating)....

I love my T she does so good for me......yet all I think of is her going away or hateing me.....

Help....I'm lost...

Hey, Dustin, I had the MMPI when I was about your age, 1969-70 I think :-)

It's designed to ask you similar questions over and over like that, that just gives a clearer picture of your problems, not whether you lie or not! Nothing on there is about anything deliberate like whether you lie or not. Some things check to see if you're unconsciously lying but it's much more complicated than that!

The questions that ask if you have ever lied? If you answer "No" (like I did) that isn't right because everyone lies at some time or another, no one is perfect. It is more about whether you have all or none thinking than about your "character". I'm sure your T will be very pleased with your results and that you did as well as you could answering.
