I just checked it’s $441.92.

They’ve hired out a small hotel with 19 acres of land so that’s why it’s so pricey. I’d rather spend the money on four individual sessions with him.

Had D's overdue physical today. Apparently, she's now below the first percentile on the height chart (4 feet 4 inches at age 11), so she wants us to do some bone age x-ray on her hand and consult with a pediatric endocrinologist in case there's a growth hormone issue (or something else). Sigh. We were able to get an endocrinologist appt for later this month (I'd expected a much longer wait), so at least we'll hopefully be able to get some answers there soon?

I went to my GP last week because I've had shoulder pain for years. For months I have had numbness and tingling in my left arm/left thumb. It didn't go away as I hoped. I got the x-ray of my neck yesterday because my GP said it was probably my neck not my shoulder. C5 and C6 are messed up. Also some narrowing on C1. I called my doctor to get an appointment so I have one on Monday. It feels far away but I know it isn't really. Just want to know what the next step is. I had scoliosis as a child (probably still do) and bone degeneration seems to be a problem in my family. My Mom had back and neck surgery and my sister goes to pain management for her back and had to do "nerve burning" which sounds awful. I hope that none of that stuff will apply to me and I can just do physical therapy or something.

Hugs, Kit. I'm guessing, from my own neck issue experience, that physical therapy might be the first step, to see if that helps.

So she gave me an online resource I've been browsing through, Therapy worksheets, tools, and handouts | Therapist Aid that has some free worksheets to download, looks like there may be some helpful stuff for me on there going forward after this program ends, if I decide not to go the CBT t route. I created a free account on there so I can play around with some of the interactive tools too.

I'm glad you were able to get an appointment for her sooner rather than later, and I hope you get some answers and also hoping for the best possible for her.

This reminded me, I'd forgotten about it, when my son was little we had to get an x-ray of his hands too but for the opposite reason, because when he was born he was at the 99.9 percentile for length and just kept growing every year. Thankfully they didn't find any serious problems... he's just tall. He finally stopped growing at a little over 6'7".

Thanks, Artie! That's interesting about your son--and I imagine quite worrying at the time.

Thanks guys.

No news in the past few hours, so I assume everything is stable.

My T had to cancel our appt today last minute and it sucksss. My therapy appt with trauma T on Friday is rescheduled to Sunday, so that at least is okay.

Thanks LT. Some sort of old wound was tapped into last week, and this lingering deep sadness won’t leave me alone.

LT, I am glad you were able to get in to the endocrinologist fairly soon. Sending good thoughts your way.

Slumber, I had something similar years ago with my neck. PT was the first recommendation and it took some time to heal but it was pretty effective. Hopefully that's the case for you too.

I had a fun and funny thing happen to me this week and it was just the sort of thing I would have tucked away to share with my therapist at my next session because I know she would have enjoyed it too. It just hit me that I miss her. I don't miss therapy, I just like her and I miss the relationship we built. Feeling a little sad right now.

For all of the mental health websites there are, you would think that one of them would succinctly list the questions one might use to formulate a wellbeing plan.

I finally shared mine with R this morning, five years after creating it. She said it would be good to see the source material, so she can use it with other clients. Can I find the post that prompted me? Can I heck.

I really need to update mine, because much of it hinges on people who are no longer in my life, or no longer here.

Last night i dreamt about an old boss the one who sent a memo to all wards in the hospital requesting that patients dont leave their beds til the pathology rounds were completed. Apperently the memos went straight into the bin. She was the one who made us do time and motion studies and then complained we took to long because we were filling out the study paperwork. We could never win.
