I got married a couple of months after one of my cousins, and his wife is on facebook, so it feels like i am constantly being reminded of the anniversaries - their actual, my... what would be the word? Theoretical?

i'm so silly. i spent half my lunch restarting my laptop multiple times, running scans, clearing caches, etc because it seemed like it wasn't working. It finally dawned on me after work that I hadn't checked to see if it was just that my mouse wasn't working... and tada that was it. yeesh! just ordered a new one on amazon.

I love being old. Other than needing reading glasses and not healing fast I don't see any downsides. I have also memorized final exit so I don't get trapped by do-gooders.

I vape pot but not tobacco. I had to give up tobacco because it was making me sick - I loved smoking hookah but one or two puffs and it was like classic signs of nicotine poisoning. It got so bad that even the smell would cause me to feel ill.

Pretty accurate on both Andy Capp and the clip except for the scarf - I would end up like Isadora duncan in a matter of minutes

I have a habit of filing photos away that I think I'm going to paint at some point.

This one was from 2017.

Finally did something with it today.

I made some dog treats tonight out of homemade bone broth and bone meal, rice, and dehydrated pumpkin - they smell so bad but the dogs have gone bonkers for them.

That certainly would be in the canine version of A Few Of My Favorite Things.

This legitimately sounds like the kind of recipe which is recommended for a holistic, wholefood perimenopausal busting breakfast. It worries me that I read it and thought how beneficial that would be for my collagen levels and connective tissue health.

“This above all: to thine own self be true.
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.”—Polonius in Hamlet

I can totally see you hiding behind an arras!

Or, from the movie Clueless:

Heather: It's just like Hamlet said, "To thine own self be true."
Cher: Hamlet didn't say that.
Heather: I think I remember Hamlet accurately.
Cher: Well, I remember Mel Gibson accurately, and he didn't say that. That Polonius guy did.

haha I couldn't help myself I had to do it.

TW for emotional eating

Possible trigger:

If there's no food involved, I think them instead.

Avoidance is wily - I'm hoping R can decode me enough to be able to help me stop deferring them by escaping into the facts that have become some kind of macabre comfort blanket.
