Thanks lost.

I shouldn't really be complaining about something so absolutely stupid. He just is so frustrating sometimes!

When you've waited a long time for him to get the work done, and he's quibbling over money...it makes sense.

That sucks. Sorry you saw it. Are you going to pretend you didn't see it? Is it something so important he's going to keep bugging you about it or try to call you?

Just read about King Charles. Boy, bad luck, on the job for barely a year and he finds out he has cancer.

That’s rough, I hope he gets better. Treatment is hard on anyone and at his advanced age it will be particularly rough, I wonder if there’s any thought to having William take the crown.

I feel sorry for the guy. Raised by a mother who was too busy and a brute for a father, sent away and bullied, waits decades for the job he was born to do, married off to a whiny, unprepared, none-too -bright woman who gets beatified because she died young, and now this. At least he got to finally marry camilla.

Non-UKers talking about The Windsors always amuses me. And then I realise that the joke is on us because we are the mugs with parasitical heads of states who we can't get rid off, short of borrowing the guillotine from our French cousins but they don't like us enough to go halfers on the haulage costs.

I’m sorry to read about King Charles, cancer diagnosis is tough at any age.

I’m one of those (although not pro royal) who feels at his age it might’ve been wise to hand over to his son anyhow. Like the Danish monarchy did.
Thanks for this!

Check your map, comrade, Windsor is just across the river from some of us colonists. My mother used to go there all the time - to the casino. One time her friend's car broke down and ma had to push it into a mcdonald's parking lot. They were always getting stopped at the border because this friend wore her hijab - gee wonder why they didnt believe she was "just going to play the slots"?!

Ma was a character. An evil character, but nonetheless...

Anyway, today we settled all our business (cue The Godfather). Got all my meds ordered, and checked with the rental office as to where was my lease renewal - it's coming. At least its not being held. Also, i am doing some straightening out around here. I feel like i am finally getting some momentum in my life.

Im watching Cracker on britbox. Kinda weird, but i do like robbie coltrane.

At this point - I would be happy to go back to being a colony. Except no metric system - I refused to learn it in 5th grade and I won't learn it in my dotage.

When my person was doing her fulbright - we got kicked out of the british library because charles was going to be there for an opening of a magna carta exhibit. Extremely officious police flooded into the place and were kicking out the scholars (my person) and their flunkies (me)

There is English precedence, Henry the Young King was crowned while his father Henry ii was still alive, the crown reverted to Henry ii when the young king died in the war. also George iv was prince regent during the illness and final years of George iii.

Maybe it’s not fully appropriate to talk about it, but Charles will have some obstacles ahead and I hope he gets to focus on his health.

After more than six years, he has still failed to take my name off the title to his car. He’d give art’s husband a run for his money.

If I remember, I’ll forward it to my lawyer to deal with.

With your posts art, there’s always a sense of “I shouldn’t be complaining” .

You are allowed to express how you feel. You’re not too much.

How much time would it take to find someone new?

Work done well is worth paying for.

Robespierre also ended up facing the same end he had championed for others.

I do agree we are mugs though.

Wild spending with zero accountability seems to be the norm.

Does that mean it's actually your car? I love free stuff (although I suspect you paid a high price in other ways).

I see the resemblance now!

Correction on yesterday: one med is still outstanding. My dr cancelled my diuretic without saying anything to me. Wtf. I need like a months worth of pills before my next appt in mid may. I talked to "the ordering dept" yesterday, they memoed me today to write a note to the dr. So i did. I was feeling SO GOOD yesterday that this was taken care of, now its NOT. This is ridiculous. I will stroke out without this med. What if i wasnt smart enough to know that?

ETA - AND now i cant see the denial i received this morning! Wt actual f. Buncha screwups.
