Will group hysteria really help?
I don't advise henny penny as a role model.

I somehow have gotten onto some algorithm and snake groups are showing up on several feeds - I am learning so much about snakes. I had to block the spider ones - I know spiders do good but I am less uncreeped out by them than I am by snakes. I don't want them harmed - I just don't like how spiders move.

Being inspired to go to law school by The Paper Chase (great movie, but then I have a thing for Edward Hermann) leads one to say things like “less uncreeped.”

It’s the Tagalog to ex-hankster’s Mandarin.

What’s good to watch tonight? Since tomorrow is Thursday and the holiday-I’m off until Monday. No point in having off on Thursday then going to work on Friday. I’m on day two of Ashwagandha and 5HTP. Last night I threw Valerian Root into the mix. Valerian Root is the one that’s been most calming so far but it made me drowsy so I can’t take it during the day. I think I’m going to buy some Rescue Remedy next and perhaps Kava Kava.

Glad the valerian seems to be helping at night at least. Hope the other stuff helps. I think some needs a bit of time to work--I assume the 5-HTP does because SSRIs do, and it's similar.

Tonight, I'm trying a CBD/CBN/CBG sleep gummy that also has chamomile, passionflower, and lemon balm. Bought it online from Lazarus Naturals, not a dispensary (don't think it has any THC, or if it does, it has to be less than like 0.3% to be sold by mail). So, we'll see.

Good luck. I like kava but I have only had it in a kava bar

Let me know how the gummy works.

I think it helped me fall asleep--I may have taken it a bit too early, as I got sleepy and fell asleep earlier than normal (like 9:15). I slept longer than usual. But I was still awake a few times during the night, and, according to my Garmin, I didn't get enough deep or REM sleep (I usually do well with deep, but lower in REM, even though Fitbit used to think I did well there).

So I need to experiment more with it. A sample size of 1 isn't that helpful.

Why, thank you! I'm touched!

Yeah. My guess is you might need to try it regularly to see if it helps. The same thing happens with the Valerian Root. It’s knocking me out, but I was still up and down a couple times. The first hour after waking up for the final time in the AM around 6 or so, I feel hung over. Then I’m good by like 7am. But since I started these supplements-I want to eat very early (no later than 7am) but then I’m good most of the day after I eat the morning meal.

I am spending this annoying holiday that plagues my dogs with fireworks -trying to give my tweaky dog just enough tranquilizer that he doesn't freak out and run into walls but not so much that he can't stand up. The vet foisted trazadone on us and wanted us to try it rather than my usual jar of benadryl but I don't like this stuff for him - it makes him all saggy. So now I have to wait for the traz to get far enough out so I can give him the benadryl we all know and love.
