Even with the buy your own drinks venues that I’ve been to they have always handed out free water too.

I will only be going back to London after more than 1.8 years of not visiting only to go to a concert with my brother in September

Thanks, Lemon, I managed! No free water here at venues, unless it's from a water fountain. They charge $6 or more for a bottle of water. Seems like it's just setting people up for heat issues in the summer. Actually, this one indoor place I used to go to more regularly used to have pitchers of water and cups available, though I think they stopped that after the pandemic.

I hope you enjoy your September concert!

I'm a cuddler, but not when I sleep. We have a split king and stay on our sides of the bed. We don't even share blankets. My main problem at night is not H. He comes to bed after I'm asleep and my Seroquel knocks me out. My problem is my dogs. All 4 sleep in bed with us and for some reason 3/4 are almost always on me (one on my head, one at my knees, and one at my feet). The youngest won't even get up if I need to move.

last night I dreamed that h and I had hundreds of boxes of new shoes in our basement (we don't have a basement in rl) in our sizes, and all the sizes our son ever wore. there were neighborhood kids there and we told each of them to pick out several pairs each. I found some really cute sandals for myself. and a pair that would fit my sister.

dreams are weird.

That sounds bizarre, but fun on the dream scale of things.

That is really interesting! Maybe a sign you should go shoe shopping?

I had a really weird one last night that I'm sure Una would have a field day with, but not sure about sharing it...

My interpretation of the dream is that it’s about having choices and direction.

From oh the places you will go:

“You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose."

The hundreds of boxes of new shoes in your dream could symbolize the choices available to you. The shoes fit = indicate that these opportunities are well-suited to you and those close to you.

Giving shoes to the kids was about a desire to share your good fortune or to help others find their path.

A pair for your sister suggests a concern for her well-being or a desire to support her in her journey as well.

Maybe I should be a T?

(((Hugs))) @LostOnTheTrail - I know the feeling all too well. I hope things improve throughout the course of the day. Thanks for all the advice @Lemoncake - I will look into more support, this bully in me does a fair of beating every day. I really appreciate what you had to say, it really helped me think about things. Radical acceptance is key, and I think giving my bully a name and a persona has helped pull her out of me and address what she does to me.

I think this whole shoes thing is so great @unaluna awaiting the interesting hypothesis too!! @ArtieTheSequal - being from NYC shoes was such a big part of my life! I used to have so many, some I never even wore. I miss heels though I have to say, I used to enjoy wearing them. Being a bigger girl now, even cute wedges for the summer are a challenge, but I am hoping by this time next year, I would have made a dent in this whole weight issue.

On the therapy front, I totally overslept and missed my appointment this morning, which resulted in an onslaught of shame and self-hate. I have come to the realization that no one in my entire life has hurt me as much as I have hurt myself over the years.

I told L one time that I had come to the realization that I was the author of so much of my own misery. She was like "huh?"

Did she even know me at all?

Thanks so much @ArtieTheSequal - I'll take all the hugs right now! It's amazing, isn't it? "Author of my own misery" - as a writer, I feel that so much. I never considered myself a masochist, but I am really rethinking it, as much as I whip myself especially when I'm down. It's so funny because I never did that growing up - I was such a happy kid with so much imagination - what the heck happened? Like where did this behavior come from?
