You have no idea. It's sweet, cinnamony, and fluffy. And it helps you poop. Absolute moderate perfection.

I don’t think nuns are allowed to eat Fiber One coffee cakes. It’s in the vows somewhere.

Dear Couchies, cross your fingers and toes for me. I just had two job interviews this morning, back to back, both on zoom. Zoom is exhausting.

One wants me to come to their office in person for a tour. The other says I seem like a good fit and they will get back to me by the end of the week.

I'll keep my digits crossed! Those both sound encouraging, especially the one wanting you to come to the office. That could be good from your end, too, as it will give you a better sense of what they're like, I imagine. Keep us updated!

I think Dr. T and I should do a local sports podcast. He can discuss games and teams from the sports psychology angle, and I can discuss from the fan's angle (and fantasy player, for both football and baseball). I had that thought after session, as we spent the first couple minutes discussing our local team's loss yesterday and what might be going on with one of their players.

Also, here's a somewhat amusing exchange from today when we were discussing my H being really upset with D yesterday:

Dr. T: It sounds like she was really exacerbating him--wait, that's not the right word.
Me: Exasperating?
Dr. T: Yes, that's what I meant. That she was annoying him. Exacerbating is increasing something.
Me: Well, I guess you could say she was...exacerbating his exasperation. That was a tongue-twister!

Ooh, good luck!

I have a job interview next week—administrative position at a research center at another university. Research center is exactly my field.

Good luck, @@! Crossing my fingers and toes for you. I am glad about the “another university” part…you deserve to be somewhere that truly values and supports you.

so, me being me, I feel like I need to apologize to L for the stupid under-the-influence email I sent her last week. Common sense says leave it alone, but feelings-wise, like I said me being me, I feel like I need to. But I think I'd be a lot better off listening to my common sense by just leaving it the hell alone! So that's what I'm gonna do. Leave it alone.

I am not at all used to letting my thinking self rule. I kinda like how it feels.

I have bursitis in my shoulder. I'm trying to see if it will heal on its own before I go back and get a steroid injection. Sometimes it makes the muscles in my upper arm ache and today it's hurting enough to be distracting. It's been hurting for about two months now, so I'm thinking it's not going to heal on its own. I'm not exactly looking forward to an injection into my shoulder joint, but maybe it'll be worth it.

*hugs* Artie...

Could you write the apology to get it out of your system, but not send it?

I tried that, and it got me through until today. I just called her and left an apology voicemail, admitting that there was alcohol involved when I sent the email. I have no idea how it will be received. I guess we'll see.

Hugs to you. I hope she hears it in the spirit that was meant. And also at least lets you know she got it and accepts your apology. Though I doubt you truly had anything to apologize for.
Thanks for this!

I'm sorry--that sounds miserable. Is physical therapy an option? I don't know how bursitis works, so not sure if something like that would help.

Thanks LT. I guess I felt guilty because I totally KNOW better than to email under the influence. Heck, it's a couch edict!

I don't know. They only talked about the injection and they gave me some NSAID that you can only take for five days which helped while I was on it. I didn't even know what a bursa was before this.

Why not just call and make an appointment to talk to her about the ending or tell her whatever it is you want to tell her?

I have bursitis in one hip and both my knees - they even told me before the part replacement that the bursa inflammation would still be there post part and not to expect them to be pain free

NP, do you heat and ice it? Ive gotten it on the outer right side of my right knee when ive done something foolish like try to scrub a floor on my hands and knees, something i used to do almost for enjoyment in the olden days. Its a horrible thing your body creates. Bursa - a purse, a fluid-filled sac. Honestly i dont know how i made mine disappear. I was still taking ibuprofen back then though.

I've tried ice - it didn't help - but I don't have a heating pad. I might try that. Thanks! I take ibuprofen everyday for my knee. They gave me Toradol which worked pretty well, but you can only take it for 5 days or your GI tract might start bleeding without notice.
