Its just metformin, but its starting to work. I've had this off and on lack of appetite from one of my psych meds for awhile and shes concerned about eating disorder stuff coming back again.

So I kinda don't know how to tell her about the metformin. Especially since I've already been on it for almost a week.

I'm not sure why but it seems to have made a major difference on my moods and anxiety. Like they are so much better and the metformin is the only thing.

Maybe I was prediabetic or something? Idk

Did you not have bloodwork done before starting Metformin? Surely your glucose levels (along with everything else) would be tested beforehand...

It's best if you do tell her MD, even if she disapproves, almost expectedly. The choice is still yours to take Metformin in the end. But it's always good to be straight up with them I think, just to know what their concerns etc might be.

Are you taking it because your doctor prescribed it or you just decided to start buying it over the counter? You should definitely talk to your doctor before you start such medications. If you don’t have high blood sugar, I don’t know why are taking it. Not sure why therapist needs to know, but your doctor certainly does
