I have an aversion to people touching my feet as well.

That's a long day at work.

'Still unwinding from my life'...I relate to that, una.

I also hate manicures and pedicures, though for me, it's mostly that the smell of nearly all nail polish gives me a headache, sometimes a migraine (so I also avoid hair salons that do them now). I think the only time I had them done professionally was, like Scarlet, for my wedding. I used to polish my toenails sometimes in the summer and would just do so outside to avoid the smell being as strong, but I've gotten away from that, too. I know there are a few brands of nail polish that are more natural, so I may need to try one of them because it is nice looking at my toenails in pretty colors. Manicures are a waste because I seem to mess them up almost immediately.

I was rushed to the er Monday night for vomiting and migraine. CT showed no sign of stroke. But they never checked my vomiting and heartburn. My oral surgeon took me off my antibiotic and pain med in case it was too strong on an empty stomach. The otc pain meds are working, but I still have horrible heartburn. Saw a doctor today and she’s putting me on an acid reducer. She said if that doesn’t work for a few weeks, I need to see a gastro.

Life is kicking my butt right now with everything. I’m struggling in all aspects of my life.

Oh, that sounds scary, Scarlet, I'm sorry. Gentle hugs. I hope the acid reducer helps you.

I hope the acid reducer does it job. I get really intense nauseating heartburn as well but I’m slowly figuring out I just can’t eat anything I like then I don’t get heartburn.

My husband and I don’t really talk anymore. I guess you can call it like an emotional separation if that’s a thing? Like he still lives here but we were fighting about something and I told him that he’s only here to pay half the bills and I don’t need him to do that and he can leave at any time. He’s walking around here all high and mighty because he made a small repair to the backyard fence so I essentially brought him back to earth with the statement that I don’t need anyone to split the bills with.

I thought I was doing better, but I woke up with the same symptoms at 4am. I don’t know what to do anymore. I’m afraid to put anything into my body (food and meds). I’m not taking any pain meds except for Tylenol. No antibiotic. No morning meds. I have to try to take night meds even if I throw up. I’m just so sick. I don’t know what’s wrong or how to fix it. I’m going to try to get an appointment with the gastroenterologist, but last time it took over a month.

Ugh, I'm sorry, Scarlet. Is there any chance it could be a side effect of the new treatment you're doing? And could the doctor prescribe you some Zofran maybe, if that works for you, for the nausea/throwing up?

Una- I bought chickpea salad. I’m in love. It taste so good. It has chickpeas, minced up onion and carrots and minced up green peppers. All I can say is yum.

That sounds difficult, Jersey. Do you feel you'd prefer that he just move out?

I often eat chickpeas straight out of the can. They are delicious. Last night i had some chili beans after not having beans for a couple of weeks at least, and man they were yummy. I will have to try your salad.

I'm a chickpea fan, too! I may need to try that salad. I tend to have them with rice.

I love chickpeas! In everything!
Scarlet that sounds awful. I have GERD which causes killer heartburn but Prilosec usually helps. I hope you get answers soon.
Lonesome , I understand how that feels. There are times when I feel he'd be better off without me, then he does something sweet and thoughtful . It doesn't make the emotional separation feeling any better, but it helps. I hope your situation gets better.

Thanks Calla Lily and LT. I do have Prilosec and Zofran now. No symptoms today!

I’m thinking it might be ulcers or just too many meds. Ulcers because my mom was just diagnosed with them and she’s been burping a lot to ease the pain. I’ve been doing the same burping. Or I took too many meds on an empty stomach that damaged the lining.

I don’t think it’s the treatment though it can be an uncommon side effect. But it leaves your system pretty fast. I had treatment on Thursday day and then threw up on Saturday night.

I’m just happy for a break from it all today.

Scarlet, also consider keeping track of what you're eating days that you have those symptoms. For me, in terms of reflux issues, sometimes tomatoes, especially tomato sauce, bothers me. Same with onions and sometimes peppers. And coffee (though just some days). One of the joys of getting older... Also, if you sleep on your side, sleeping on your left side is better for reflux, just because of how anatomy is. (Unfortunately, I find it more comfortable to sleep on my right side, so I have to keep making myself flip over.)

Definitely! I read about the left side and I’ve been sleeping that way. It does help. Well, except the two times I got sick were at night/early morning.

And I should keep track of my food for myself and the doctor. I had spaghetti last night and that was a HUGE no. But this morning I had a protein shake and a muffin and I think it actually helped me. And I’ve also avoided coffee even though I used to drink it twice a day. And I’m trying to keep myself hydrated.

This all is new to me. I now have a lot more respect and understanding for people who suffer with this.

Stopdog I appreciate your bluntness as usually you make valid points. He’s been told directly to go. He seems to think he doesn’t actually have to. He feels he has rights to this home. He does not. My father owns the home we reside in. We “rent” it from him. Ending a 25 year relationship (married for almost 19) is a hard mental process. I know all I need to do is ask my dad to start the process to evict him. I haven’t gotten that far yet mentally.

I don’t know if I actually have any options, but the independent review of my insurance is demanding my records from T by 3pm tomorrow. They’re only giving her 24hrs. She said she can’t do that by then and legally she has a week. She asked them if she could just provide a summary. She asked me if I’m okay with them having my records.

First, I don’t know if I even have a choice. And if I do, what would be the cons of allowing this? It’s just records with T since February. I don’t think I divulged anything that confidential. We mainly did my weekly self-care plans. Could they use this against me somehow with L? I don’t see how. Does insurance even have a legal right to my records?

What’s interesting is that the analyst just emailed me today saying that insurance has agreed to pay for T while they’re still making their decision. And now insurance does this. I don’t know what to do or what to think. I kind of wish this to all stop. I start sessions with L in 4 weeks. I’ve made it this far, especially the last few weeks without any sessions. I wish they would make a decision and leave me alone!

Court is tomorrow. And last night I discovered something. The other side only provided a copy of the lease and move out ledger for evidence. I was looking at the ledger. Several entries said rent write off. And at the end it said balance is $150. So according to their documents, we only owe $150. The judge could tally the write off entries to figure out the total rent. I did do that and it’s yet another amount that’s different from 4 other totals. So it still proves they don’t actually know what we owe. Please keep me in your thoughts tomorrow!
