Hi everyone, I had a very rough weekend and it's still rough. Me and my husband had to put our 12 year old dog Princess down on Friday morning. We got the vets to come to the house and we got her cremated. It's been very hard on my husband and he and Princess had a very strong bond. I did too. I have reached out to my therapist she has been very supportive. The hardest part of having a dog is letting go they are a family member.

Taylor,
I’m sorry for your loss.

I too believe that animals are like family. Mine are my babies especially because of my infertility. I think you did a beautiful thing by being with her for her last moments, so she’s not scared or alone. For me, that’s the least I can do.

I don’t know how you would like to grieve. I had all of my past girls cremated too. I bought all 3 girls a custom box that you can put some things that were hers including their ashes. Just something that might help a little? You can search Etsy for Personalized Pet Memory Box/ Urn with Photo by CadesandBirch. They have many memorable boxes.

I love that suggestion and I will look on Etsy and see what I can find. We picked out a urn that is made of cedar for her.
