Ok. I'm still seeing my lovely T, but again, she's retiring within the next few months.
Usually Vocational Rehab picks up the therapy bill. However, today they told me that they did NOT want to pay for anyone in private practice after my current T. They said to find someone who would work pro-bono (yeah right) or at a low rate. I asked where to look for such and they said through school or at a mental health clinic. Now, my VR counselor is aware of depression/anxiety and I THINK PTSD, but not the MPD. I felt incredibly frustrated at the thought of seeing someone through campus. But, I bit the bullet and made an appointment at the college counseling office. My question is: are these counselors able to be just as experienced as those in private practice? |

Maybe you can get with the head clinical ...deal... lost the word i wanted.... like my T is the ....drat, i have to get her card...clinical director and she is the one who teaches all the other baby t's. So sometimes that means having student t's sit in on your session (i'm at a mental health/ integrative health clinic). But i was thinking at my college, they had the Dr. who taught us students in psych as well as heading up Counseling and Psych. services so he saw clients. I think i'm not making sense....
sorry
