So my T is on vacation until the end of the month (I go back the 26th) and it's driving me crazy. Every week I just kept telling myself to make it to Tuesday (the day of my appointment) but now it's make it until the 26th, which seems forever away. On top of that I find myself missing my old T that I haven't seen in almost 6 months because I moved out of state. Just as I was starting to feel somewhat comfortable, at least to where I could talk, it's time for new T to take a vacation. I knew the vacation was coming at my second appointment, and he even had me come in a few extra times, but it's still not easy. I'm not angry, just dreading the next couple weeks. If anyone has any thoughts on how to make it until the 26th I'm open to it...

HI Las,

There is a vacation support thread we have been posting on by Soliaree, you should check out. You know, misery loves company. LOL

My T will be going soon too. Here are my ideas: journal, as much as possible. Write letters to T. Give yourself permission to miss him and draw pictures of him. Write poetry. Keep busy--as busy as possible. Hug a teddy bear! Keep posting so we can help you.

Take care

vacations... vacations... vacations...

(((((LAS)))))),
As you see, you're not alone. We are all suffering from T abandonment. It is painful but we will all prevail. Keep posting. As MissC said, misery loves company! We'll keep each other afloat.

attentionThis is an old thread. You probably should not post your reply to it, as the original poster is unlikely to see it.
