I remember being terrified of my first T appointment. But really first appointments are all about getting to know each other. They'll probably ask questions about what you hope to get out of therapy, what brought you seek out therapy. You should ask about their experience in dealing with problems like yours and what approach they take. And they should be able to explain that in plain English. Then there'll be the details, like how much it costs, degree of contact between sessions, policies on confidentiality and physical contact. You won't get into anything really heavy in a first session.

That first session is scary but it isn't as bad as you think it's going to be. Way to go on calling and making an appointment that takes alot of courage and strength!!

Congratulations on making the appointment. That can be such a hard step to make. I know how scary it can be to go to that first session. It is getting to know each other and what you would like to work on. Even if you are not sure that is ok too. There is no right or wrong so just be yourself. I hope you connect well.
