As most of you know, I lost my T when her daughter died back in August. I've had a hell of time adjusting, and recent events have thrown me into a awful depression. I'm seeing someone new Monday night. I'm really anxious about it.

Hello Gracey, it is good to see you again.

I hope your meeting with your new T goes well.

Good luck to you, Gracie.
I lost my first T in August, too. His partner was hit by a car and killed and therapy stopped ... suddenly. I started seeing a new T a little while ago. It was hard making the adjustment to a new T and despite being able to rationalize why T1 had to stop practicing for a while (he has a small child), it still brought up a lot of issues for me. It was difficult, but not impossible, to transition to T2. You can do it. And this community is here to support you.

Feeling anxious is understandable and may you feel much better after getting the initial visit behind you. I hope your new T is just what you're looking for. Let us know how it goes!

Good luck Gracey, I hope it works out and you can get support for what is making you depressed.

Have you heard from your previous T, how is she doing?

((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((Gracey)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) I am sorry about your t. But I am glad that you have decided to find another. Maybe it will be a bit different but maybe in some ways possibly even better. I know how unnerving it can be and the fear of exposing yourself to someone once again. I hope you connect with them Monday.
