On the 28th of this month ill have my first every appointment with a psychiatrist/psychologist. Im a little nervous because i dont know what to expect. Im not very good with face to face conversations with people about my problems. If anyone can give me some advice on what to expect that would be great. Thanks in advance, Rachie

Rachie,
My first visit with a pdoc was last September and I was SO nervous about it! I will share with you my experience. He asked ALOT of questions, some that made me uncomfortable because it was stuff related to my childhood. With that being said, it wasn't near as scary as I thought it would be. I was relieved to FINALLY be admitting that I had problems (Bipolar Disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) and he really helped me to see that I wan't less of a person because of it.
Each visit gets easier and I think you will feel a lot better after you go. Take care and I will be praying for you to have a great first visit!
