Do tell what they did to make you so angry. Please don't feel guilty, I'm sure your anger is justified.

Thanks Vicki. Im annoyed because a good friend of mine who is friends with my family was not invited out with them.tonight. My brother is in from out of town and my other brother set up for everyone to go out for drinks with a bunch of friends and they didnt tell him. I assumed automatically he would be invited , hes like family, so i mentioned it to him and found out he wasnt asked. What the hell?? Im very pissed off!!

I'm sorry that this has made you angry. When my daughter comes back to town I do not like sharing her with non-family members. Her time with the family is family time, her time with friends, whom I dearly love, is her friend time.
Try looking at it from another point of view. When we went across the country to visit my brother, he was SO excited we were there (he really was, I'm not being a smart@ss) that he invited his best friends over to meet us. He didn't mean to neglect us, but what should have been an enjoyable time catching up turned into a party. We didn't drive five days and 3000 miles to attend a party.

Oops, just read the bit about it being a gathering for friends. I have no idea why he wouldn't be invited then.

Is it at all possible that it was an oversight and they inadvertently forgot to invite this friend? I think some communication is in order to find out what happened before getting too much more upset over this.
![]() Maybe you can get this friend and family member together just the 3 of you for a visit......that would be extra special time! Wishing you well ![]() |

It wasnt an oversight cause i asked my other brother who set it up and he told me we cant ask him cause so and so is upset with him. So stupid!! My brothers arent mad at him and because of some friend who is a nice kid but it as close to us as my friend you choose him over our friend. Makes no sense!!Whayever happened to sometimes you may not like everyone at a event but be civil. Its wrong they left him out. And Because i def tgought he would be invited i mentioned it to him and he said i wasnt invited. I think hes hurt and I feel terrible now! For hurting someones feelings.

Let me get this straight. These are adults you are talking about? Not 12 year olds?

May I remind you that many men in their mid/late 20s still act like 12 year olds? How else would Jack@ss the Movie gross 64 million and the second installment 73 million? They can be extremely well educated, successful in most areas of their lives, but many of them still hang on to that 12 year old mentality in the social aspect of their lives.
Sorry, I am obsessed with those movies... more amazed that they were made and sucessful.
