My roommates are driving me batty! There are 4 of us living together in a house, only 2 of us have jobs, I'm the only one who sleeps at night and works during the day, and since my roommates have a house, every one of their friends comes to visit them and hang out here. Our house is the party house, we seem to host a party at least once a week. I am not a party-er, I do not enjoy large crowds of people I don't know, and I have a job that has me working during the day, which means I need my sleep at night. With all the parties and socializing downstairs at night, I'm going absolutely Nuts! I hate that there's a constant stream of people in my house, eating my food and making a mess and not cleaning up or turning off lights or closing doors. I feel like these people are taking advantage of me and not respecting me as a member of the household.
Anyway, just wanted to vent.

Hello, BarbiGirl. Perhaps you might print what you just wrote here for your roommates. If they will not give credence to your concerns, you may need to move.

Is your name on the lease? If you do move, you will want to make sure your obligations under the lease are finalized. The landlord may not want to release you. Too often, a person in your situation gets the worst of it financially.

I wish you well.
Thanks for this!

It's true, they are not respecting you.

Wishing that it works out better for you in future.
Thanks for this!
