She's gone down to England to live with her mum and I won't be seeing her again until June.

can you plan to do some fun things with your friends during this time? i'd do some thinking about spending the time doing things you'd enjoy while home. also you can spend some quality time with your dad in the evening.

That is very sad. I don't like major change like that either. I remember when my third brother went off to uni and it was just me and my parents at home; at first I accidentally still set the table for four, etc. It was so quiet too, one didn't know what to say to a parent without the "whole" interaction thing going on all the time! There weren't any distractions.
Why are you going home to your father instead of your mother (I take it you would prefer to see your mother?) Can you visit both in the time off? Do you know anyone down in England you can visit, a classmate maybe?

![]() ![]() ![]() Dad isn't in the house very much in the evenings - he's in a mountain biking club and they meet up every week, plus he plays tennis - but hopefully we'll be able to spend some evenings together. My sister's holiday has been postponed until the summer so we're all going to IKEA on Sunday to replace some things mum took with her when she left...

![]() ![]() It's not that I'd "prefer" to see one or the other, it's just that I'm used to them being together and I'm still finding the separation quite difficult to accept, I think. ![]()
