Since our son and his wife moved here over two years ago, things have been upside down! Daughter and I have decided to go back to our holiday traditions the way they were. Seems like everything has been changed for them. They don't want to include daughter and her family in anything unless they have to, or it is at our house. I'm really tired of catering to them, and cleaning up the food and candy that their kids chew up and spit all over the house while I am trying to fix a meal for everyone. So, I am not being their babysitter slave any more, and I am going to change things here to suit hubby and I. I have worn myself out mentally and physically trying to please them. They need to take responsibility for this large family they are raising and get with the program.

((((((((((CJR)))))))))) Coping with the holidays is hard and I think making changes in order to relieve some of the stress is a good thing. I'm going to do some of that myself! Thanks for the thread. Holidays and coping
