I am so blessed with supportive, loving friends.... yet, I keep screwing things up with the drama that comes with my messed-up brain. Tonight, I ruined a perfectly lovely walk to the store by bringing up issues I knew would hurt my roommate. Yet, I couldn't manage to keep my mouth shut. I'm on the brink of just removing myself from any and all relationships in order to stop the endless cycle of incidents like these, but is there any magical secret to sheltering your loved ones from the evils of bipolar disorder?

Hey raining , I hear you, im on the other side of it, think someone i love is dealing with this too, not sure but as someone on the other side of it, the friend of the person who is struggling, please do not give up on your friends or family or try and shield us from this, i would give anything if my friend could tell me so i could do more and he would feel he didnt have to hide something about himself, i love him and support him , no matter what, i know your friends and family do too, so give them a chance to help, i hope you are doing ok, im really glad you reached out its not easy im sure, god bless you
Thanks for this!

helpful hint-don't allow your bipolar define who you are. plus these actions may not be caused by your bipolar.
impulsivity comes to mind.
when you do this is your underlying cause brought on by anger?
have you looked into passive aggressive behavior? that could be usefful too for you. check out "conditions" at top screen for it.
hope these suggestions may be beneficial to you.
you are blessed with having your good friends. they see good things in you too or they wouldn't be your friend.
