i need to rant, spent the weekend playing ref to son and his gf, son has problems dont think he should be living with her but cant control him or wrap him in cotton wall(bubble wrap)
wish i could sunday night i was asked if i could go to there flat coz he was scaring her he was throwing stuff at her, and threatening her with a bowl, arrived with her leaving the flat we spoke to so who looked really upset, his response was she hit me so i pushed her she also stated she would call the police say he raped her, im now worried that this relationship is very volatile, so i did what any parent would try to help, grrr i went i played ref said they need to sort it out or end it drat they made up, so Mon can you phone son again coz he wont let me out room so i asked why what set him off well im on phone he thinks im talking about him, (yea u are to me) sons paranoia set in he freaked , i couldn't do much yesterday as it was a bank holiday here, so today i phoned social services explaining sons breath probs with adhd no meds now slight learning difficulties and so on, i explained all that happened over the weekend, which is making a self referral, the lady was helpful taking notes she contacted me bk with information of how to handle situation, suggested i phone docs talk to them about how son has been since coming of meds, so i go to do this to find he changed doctors against my advice not to, grrrr grrrr, i can only tell son that her shouting rape is dangerous for him, putting his name on a police wish he let me sort out social services before he moved in with her grrr

((katheryn)) - I'm sorry you're so upset and its hard when our adult children are struggling. How old is your son? I agree this is a very unhealthy relationship and he should be cooperating with his doctors, to get himself in a stable state before he can have a healthy partnership. Threatening to call rape is a serious threat.

he is 20 she is just 18 i hear on the grape vine this isn't the first time she shouted rape, not sure if she did go to the police as her ex wouldn't discuss it with me even though we know him, so i said fair enough and left it there, but i made contact with social services about all this so there is something on record if it ever came to that she did say this to the police, as son has been on meds since being a child and being classed as disabled mentally, because of his adhd and needing prompting to do stuff like personnel hygiene and such
