So i was dating this guy for about a month and 1/2 i've known for like 2 years. He has been in an on and off relationship for 4 years, and while we were dating mentioned his "ex" to me like 5 times. I got the impression he is still hung up on her and just wants to have sex with me. I judge men on their actions, not words. So even though he said he had alot of love for me, I just couldn't bring myself to get closer.

Anyway, I ended it with him in a bad way (via text bombing him with my rage at like 5am). He seemed confused and angry and told me to never text or call him again.

We had previously discussed his ex and his issues of seeming emotionally unavailable. He denied it and said that he's been over her for like 6 months. But I know this is not true. I have sources.

Anyway, I still wish to be with him and kind of regret the manner in which I ended things. In fact, part of me is in love with him. I just wish I could trust him. Do I have a chance of getting back with him? Should I use the no-contact rule? Has anyone else used it and worked?

He told you not to contact him so depending on your locations laws contacting him against his wishes can end up with you being arrested for things like harassment, stalking, emotional abuse and any number of things.

my suggestion follow his no contact rule so that you dont end up in a whole mess of legal problems. if you didnt tell him to not contact you he will contact you when he is ready to talk with you again.

if this was me for now I would be moving on with my life and consider it over with him.

Can I ask what made you "text bomb" him as you say, palemoss? A person may have every intention of letting go of someone else but still harbor feeling. That does not make them a bad person or a cheater. It takes 2 to tango. It takes a person to date knowing they aren't ready, and another person to ignore the signs or to react poorly to it. Not saying what you should do but no contact is often the only way to re-ingratiate yourself with someone you've recently alienated yourself from during a bad breakup. Live your life and if you should meet up again and he seems accepting, offer an apology or whatever you feel is appropriate and go from there. No quick fixes with this.

basically i just became a time bomb and exploded via text bc he mentioned his ex and his feelings for her like 5 times, and even got another girls phone number in front of me.

utter disappointment.

i guess i will just have STAY WITH THE disappointment. ride the wave of emotion...so they say. no contact - that's all that's left.
