I love my boyfriend so much but i am suffering from borderline personality disorder. I feel as though a lot of the time im inconsiderate of his feelings and i feel that i dont really know what im doing. I feel like two different people, a lot of the time i act on impulse and it causes me to do self detructive things for me and for us. I keep most of these secret. I love him too much and he already doesnt understand what its like to live with these symptoms and i dont want to give him too much to deal with. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Hi ~ Are you seeing a therapist now? I hope so -- if not, it would be a good idea to find a good one and make an appointment. If you ARE seeing a therapist, what does he say about this?

Perhaps you could take your boyfriend to one of your sessions with your therapist. Then maybe he'd better understand what you're dealiing with. Of course, ask your therapist first.

Can you two communicate well? Try to explain to him as best you can what happens - tell him that sometimes you feel like 2 people, and let him know how you deal with it. If you're open about your problems, you two will get along much better.

I wish you the very best -- hopefully others will stop in with some help. God bless. Hugs, Lee
