I constantly crave relationships, however, I have trouble forming and maintaining them because I have a learning disorder. I do not know enough about anything to be able to continue a conversation. Conversations usually end after a few brief seconds of small talk. I think people think that I am not interested in conversing or in the topics that are brought up, however, I hide my ignorance by not talking. Relationships that don't involve much talking are boring and scary. People like to get to know each other and share common interests or learn from the other, but I can't do any of that. I desperately want to have friendships, especially long term ones. I do try to read the news and study to be informed, but my mind does not easily retain, comprehend, or learn. I must work on it. I feel lonely. I need friendship advice. Anyone have any? Maybe I need to change my character or something about me so I can make friends. I feel dumb and an outcast because of it. Does anyone know anything about what I'm talking about here?

totally get you, i myself dont have a learning disorder but my brother does and he sounds quite similar, although he does not try to make friends as he has given up. But i also am not great at keeping relationships with people but i will say one thing to you. NEVER CHANGE YOU FOR OTHERS. if they dont love you for who you are they really arent worth it and i know it sounds cheesy but its the truth cause sooner or later you will be you and then they'll leave as easily as they came, hope this helps
Thanks for this!
