I go to extremes to help and now I feel like I've been kicked in the ***** , is this a fairweather friend ????
As long as I console everything is fine, do I get good news NO I have to see it here, well I bleed too ya know Just venting Angie

SORRY!! - some people just need so much that they do indeed fail to be a true friend.... maybe you two need a heart to heart talk of what each except from the relationship and of the wrong assumptions that have taken place so far.

I think sometimes when all we do is give, give, give there is a good chance that we will not receive the same kind of help in return from some people.

Many times I have found myself in the same position you are in. I have been told that is because I am expecting others to be the same way I am. Well, Yes, I do. I am a good, caring and loyal friend. One who is there to listen and help if needed. But I am sorry, the advise I have been given is true and right. I can not expect that others will treat me with the same kindness. It always hurts so much when my kindness or help is not returned in my time of need. I think the key word is expect. Try to always keep that in the back of your mind. Expect nothing AT ALL. What a wonderful surprise if you do find a friend that is as good as you are!

Oh no.... I'm sorry, Ange! (((( Angie )))) I know how that feels. Do you think it was inconsideration/selfishness on your friend's part, or was there any chance of a communication breakdown? Nevertheless, it hurts - I had the same thing happen to me last week, so I'm fresh from the memory...
