My husbands aunt has depression and a number of other medical problems. We have alot of things in common and we usually get along. However she seems to be getting a little paranoid. I know she is angry with my husbands family for the way they have treated her and at the moment she is not speaking to them but she pumps me for information and when I tell her that people are genuinly sorry or that they are trying to be nice about stuff she gets mad and says that they are lying and shes seen it all before and that now she thinks I have fallen in with them and i am lying to her as well. what in th world am I supposed to say to her. And how can I keep up a trusting relaionship with her and with the family she is angry with.

I think regardless of how she reacts, the best thing to do is to not tell her anything. I know that that may be hard, but it really would get you into trouble if you said something and she went around saying that you told her...

Bi-polar maybe...I only say that because I have had similar situations with a family member myself. Later found out that it was because the person was bi-polar.
